Anyone felt the need to install any of the above beyond the factory immobilisation, or been asked by certain insurance companies to do this?

Audi insurance have given me a fairly reasonable (and cheapest quote) but want an additional tracker on the vehicle. Other companies such as elephant/admiral don’t seem to need it - nor does it make any difference to the pricing.

Mine had a Ghost fitted by the previous owner, and I'd say this has given me a lot of peace of mind even if it adds a level of faff when leaving it with service centres.

I've added a tracker myself because it did make a difference on insurance pricing, but that might be more to do with a London postcode and on street parking.

I would calculate how much it would cost to subscribe over 3 years to have a tracker fitted and see if it’s worth it.
If you fit a SIM card into the car you can use the Audi app for a location but sure this is easily disabled.

I had a vodafone tracker from new.
