Hi chaps. Do any of you have roof bars / box fitted to your car, if so which one? I’m planning a few road trips this year so looking to get everything set up in the next month or so.

I’ve heard from my dealer who mentioned Audi roof bars would be £242 and then 3 box options:
250ltr £578
310ltr £627
430ltr £812

Seems expensive. I’ve been browsing Thule products, these look good but would love to hear experience of others.

I've gone for the standard Audi roof bars, bought 2nd hand off eBay. Here's my workhorse earning it's keep:

I’ve used Thule before on previous Audi’s very successfully. In fact I was trying to work out if I could reuse my current setup on the RS4; however Thule have changed all the range and I can’t seem to find out if I can or not!

I have (sorry had, sold it yesterday) an S4 B9 and used the Thule Aero roof bars - work brilliantly, never slipped etc. Only consideration is the correct alignment - Audi bars come with 2 little prongs that align the roof bars in the roof rails.

I also have the biggest roof box Thurle do (Thule Motion XT XXL) - works great! Just mind out for the boot lid so it doesn't hit the box and mark the spoiler.

All this kit will be going on my RS4 when it arrives

Would be good to see a pic once it’s on smoghead.

The store I visited today have the Motion XT range arriving in a few weeks. I requested they put a few different sizes on the car before I decide.

I had a Thule Spirit one with genuine Audi Roof bars , worked well
