B9 RS4 options

HI All,
I am new to the forum and am on the look out for a B9 RS4. My previous car was a Porsche 911 C2S which i decided to sell earlier this year as, with 2 young kids, road trips were becoming less enjoyable!
I have seen two 2018 RS4s with similar mileage but very different specs including one with the standard exhaust and the other with factory sports exhaust. I'm looking for advise on how the exhausts compare and any video/sound clips if possible. Does the standard exhaust sound the same as the sports exhaust with the valves closed or is this somewhere in-between open and closed?
Thanks,
James

I had a 2018 B9 RS4 with the Sports Exhaust option and it sounded anything but sporty.
Miltek do a system at big money or you can take a trip to see Paul @ PCW near MK:

I have had a PCW done to my RSQ3 - sounds nuts. You do need to invest in an Active Valve Controller so you can control the flaps yourself - Cete do one.

B9 absolutely brilliant however the sound is poor poor poor. I had sports exhaust, a valve control device and I had the back box all cut up to remove sound deadening. Still wasn't good enough for me!

Thanks for the responses.
The dealers i am talking to about these cars have kindly sent me videos of the standard exhaust vs. sports exhaust with flaps closed vs. sports exhaust with flaps open. Obviously it's hard to tell from a video but it sounds like the standard exhaust is quieter that the sports exhaust even with flaps closed. I quite like the sound of the sport exhaust with the flaps being open.
I would go for the car with the sport exhaust but it doesn't have many other options, including no comfort and sound pack. Still trying to decide what to do!

The C&S pack is a must have and even then, to my 65 year old ears at least, there still wasn't enough bass it's a case of finding the right car.

I have put a deposit down on an RS4 and picking it up on Wednesday!
I ruled out the two cars i was originally looking at as they were each missing important options. The one i am buying is almost fully loaded with many options that i didnt expect to get (DRC, assistance pack etc). Only thing missing in my mind is the extended interior LEDs which i can live without. I actually thought these were part of the C&S pack until i viewed this car.
Really looking forward to getting behind the wheel of something 'special' again.
Thanks for all the assistance on this forum.

Loving the RS4 so far!
I have been on a couple of trips with all the family and have clocked up around 1000 miles in it already. It’s an absolute pleasure to drive in comfort mode (reminds me of a Range Rover the way it wafts along) and an animal in dynamic mode.
Also really enjoying some of the tech toys that are part of the assistance pack. Very glad I got one with that as it makes that car feel a lot newer.
Happy New Year!

Cheers James
HNY to you too, yes - the standard car is good but the options definitely make it a lot more fun day to day! Enjoy
