Yeah I can only imagine

(Its 5.4k CHF after discount) - thing is that Switzerland is bonkers when it comes to modifications on cars. Everything has to be homologated and certified - for that you gotta sacrifice your first born. Doing it is not the problem, doing it legally is the thing

.
Did you do that JFA upgrade? The numbers seem similar, any notable improvements?

The car was ballistic afterwards, very noticeable change!

I have the full ABT engine package (ECU + Additional Water Cooler + exhaust) from day one (March 2018) for 530CV
Definitely faster and more aggressive than stock
With a proper tune it would be better for sure but, right now, there’s nothing serious on the market (ie Revo and APR are still developing...)
Bottom line: good for having extra power, without voiding the warranty,... of courde it’s pricey but strong resale value

Can we get it here in UK and retain Audi warranty?

According to my local dealer, no
ABT will warranty their bolt on bits, but if, for example, you screw the gearbox, it's up to you to try and get either ABT or Audi to take the blame and pay out (Good luck with that)

Yes i looked into this last year as i was going to get the upgrade if Audi UK covered the car with there warranty as Audi Germany does
But its a no for the UK on the warranty front Audi UK said that ABT and Audi Germany have some in house arrangement which dose not cross over to the UK
<beep> really

It's worth remembering that 'Warranty' is actually an insurance policy that the country sales company takes out to protect themselves from an open ended liability - so the case of Audi Germany covering the ABT vehicles must be something that the sales company has negotiated with their insurer.

Sorry to jump on this thread. I appreciate that the piggyback systems are the only products available, however once they crack the ECU, will the increases be in line with the current ABT package? or will it deliver a different range of power? My question excludes hardware mods.. It seems the brains behind the ECU anti-hacking system done a pretty good job!

Had it installed yesterday but couldnt test drive it yet. Had the black front rings installed as well - and the rear cleaned.

Not sure it will even happen as they have been trying since the S4 came out!

Hi,
just two things.... First, there is a company in Germany which has access to the ECU.. it is HGP Turbo. But they charge around 5000 € for the tuning.
Second thing, Abt will never deliver the Power they promise. I know several people here in Switzerland who bought the Boxes for Audi RS3 8V, Golf 7 R and went to Dynos. Always lower than promised from Abt. Abt offered them to come to Abt Headquarters in Germany and test on their Dyno.... And about the warranty, it is easy to give a warranty when the chance of a damage is low..
