Hi All

Looking to pick the brains of everyone on the new RS4 and how it sits against other current. S, RS models?

I've currently got a PFL RS3 which is for me a fantastic car, puts a smile on my face every time i drive it. However we have our first child on the way and the PCP runs out in March next year and have been looking at options. My current choices are:
RS4 - preferred options however it is £££ and not sure on the wait at the moment?
S4 / S5 Sportback - prefer the look of the sportback than avant in 'S' guise - the RS4 makes the avant look much better IMHO. However coming from an RS will these feel a little bit like a step back?
RS5 Sportback - as RS4 and likely to be out too late for me.

Any knowledge / opinions welcome - i had even thought beyond the Audi group looking at the Alfa Guila QF - but no folding rear seats - mental ?!

I've had the latest S4 for a short while and the RS4 is so much better in every aspect, its a no brainer imo. I would go for an RS4, you'll need the space once you have a kid - I at least do, a sportback wouldnt cut it for us.

RS4 would make an ideal family and fun car. I love mine.
Also regarding looks it's a different car compared to an S.

Love mine, best car I have ever had. Can't comment on an S in the current model but looked at one when I bought my B8 RS4 and I suspect it's the same as when you get on the plane, once you have turned left you never want to go right again!

I've come from a PFL RS3 and the 4 smashes it on every level other than sound imho. I liked that sound but others find it a bit "shouty" so each to their own.
