For those that dont read the manual (because in fact i didnt even get a manual...!) from someone that always leaves the electric mirror adjustment in the centre, or off, position. If you leave the silver knob over to the left mirror position the whole time, when engaging reverse gear the passenger side mirror drops to give a kerb view! Sorry if this is well known already. The wing mirrors on the B9 are tiny.... thank god for side assist.....

This has always been the case across the vag group since about 2002.

I did happen to notice that in the manual but I suspect lots don't know about it. Thanks.
PS my manual was in the glovebox together with a CD which was an an electronic manual that I have loaded into the MMI.

Ok well I guess not everyone knew. Just as an aside. The mirror needs to be set to do this. You have to engage reverse gear then set the mirror manually via the door switch to the required angle of kerb view you want then it will drop to that exact position every time you stick it in reverse in future as along as the switch is left pointing at the left mirror. If you want it to point back up while reversing just turn the switch to any other position bar left.

Do you know I hadnt even opened the glovebox this whole time!! Shows how much I am loving this car. The compartment under the light controls is really deep which is quite handy and it didnt occur to me that there was also a glovebox - doh!
Spent too much time trying to get registered for the My Audi app as a key user. What an absolute chore but managed to crack it but the instructions are pretty poor. Once I realised i had to log out completely then it was easy putting in the code on the spare key. I spent a number of hours figuring it out though!! Too eager to setup my phone first....
