Looked and watched loads of reviews and I cant find a single bad one. Surely this cant be true?? Is it a case of the people getting these cars to review are to scared to tell the whole truth for fear of not getting another car to review in the future or has Audi actually made a great car??

Fast (not sure its that fast lol), Comfy, quiet, latest tech, NO understeer, Sounds great, practical, economical (for what it is), great to look at and drive, the list goes on.

I certainly hope its a good as they all say!!

I had 4 hr test drive from aberdeen to Balmoral and back which is a good stretch of road long straights quite a few twisties which i know well
The car was quick and well planted in the bends
And after driveing my B8 home on the same roads made it feel slow and heavy compared to the B9
So the reviews might be right
Cant wait to get mine

It really is as good as everyone says - I've got about 6000km on the clock and couldn't find any flaws so far - other than not having a proper storage compartement for my sunglasses. The cup holder's box might be an option but I've got my garage openers in there. That spot right behind it sucks because they would always be thrown out while cornering.

I settled for a holder which I can put on the passanger seat's sun visor.

Another very contented owner here too! I've now done 2000 miles and other than the (occasional) slightly odd kick down behaviour (see Gremlins thread) i'm delighted. It's substantially quicker and more focused than my B8 and now that i've got some miles on the clock i'm beginning to enthusiastically explore the Dynamic setting which feels much more resolved and usable on UK roads than the B8 version. I've also owned a B7 and for me there's been a clear and positive progression. Buy with confidence!

I have mine a month now, and I've done about 3000km.
It is a really nice car. Comfy for daily commuting or a beast in dynamic.
It runs like it was on tracks.
No flaws so far.

This is how I solved the gate remote. It was a stock car without homelink option.
You can reach the buttons without opening the armrest lid.

I think I understand your comment about reviews. When I see a bunch of reviewers in the south of Spain or France etc, I think I know who has paid for the business class flight down there and back and the hotel. I'm sometimes suspicious that fact might influence the review.
The best way to tell if its right for you is a long test drive.

If you go for a test drive, make sure the engine 'drive select' setting is dynamic.

The fuel consumption is fantastic with the engine in comfort, but that's not why your looking at this car, and the turbo lag in comfort is bad even at high rpm.

In balance
The downside of quiet is sound deadening material is heavy
It is still an under steering chassis. It will under steer (if pushed hard enough of course).
Saying it sounds great is a bit contentious.

I don't own one and probably wont for many years but I do want to now having driven one extensively and didn't feel like that about an RS since the B7 (although that was to do with all the press/Clarkson hype and actually driving it wasn't as much of a revelation as this one).

I didn't buy a B8 so I don't just buy any RS that comes along.

Some video reviewers will be being paid by manufacturers to go to press launches so you'd be right to be wary but generally print media retains some journalistic integrity and is largely unbiased. I've not done many launches but I can see that you'd soon get bored of silly early starts, airport queues, delayed flights and luxury hotels that you barely spend any time in apart from a few hours of restless sleep.

In fact there will have been a lot of pissed off media at the B9 RS4 International Media Event in Malaga on 12/12/17 as the (economy) flight was 2-3 hours late departing from London City due to snow and they got the cars just before sunset and the next day just had a short time after breakfast with them driving back to the airport (and yet the reviews were still very positive!). Unusually the vloggers (Shmee 150 etc) were on the same flight as the journos.

Mr JWW's review was a few days earlier as he arranged it with Audi AG not Audi UK (naughty!) and he uploaded it on the day the rest of the press were skidding their way to the airport just to annoy everyone even more no doubt.

I love mine. Having come from a B8 that I covered 56k miles in, I can wholeheartedly say it's a big step forward, and makes the B8 feel slow and cumbersome.
However, mine has the sports exhaust and it doesn't sound as good as the B8 (both my B8's had the sports exhaust option too), and if I was being picky, I miss the DSG gearbox

What's up with the ZF 8 speed tiptronic Graeme?
Obviously you live with yours so have a better perspective.
In theory this should make the ZF even more appealing as a torque converter gearbox offers better refinement (smoother shifts) in traffic and when moving off from stationary.

Having owned cars with ZF8 and S-Tronic and now PDK, dual clutch wins hands down. There’s no issue with comfort changes. The Panamera Turbo S is epic with the 8 speed PDK.

ZF8 clearly used here to manage cost.

I’ve got the 8speed box in a new SQ5, it’s the only thing that lets it down. DSG is so much better to use.
Laggy when pulling away, and just feels syrupy slow when you use the paddles.

I’ve not driven it, but If the RS4 has the same feel that would disappoint.
