Been looking at the Garage and that shouldn't be a big issue. The big question is a car register... Any PHP/MySQL coders out there?

OK cool.l

What about the user being able to upload pics into the RSGallery, meets section. bypassing the need to email the pics to a moderator, surly the pics can me moderated at a late date? It will liven the meets section up for sure?

Multi-quote looks like a possibility, but a quick search looks like it only got to BETA and I want to try and keep the software as standard as possible to minimise the work for future upgrades - http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 0&t=563201

The gallery will need to be reworked as I think we may move to a diffrent gallery based on the best integration with phpBB.

Keep the ideas coming. Really appreciate your feedback :D

Why do we have to have mixed case, number AND SYMBOLS in passwords - no other board has the requirement for symbols, so I'm going to forget my new RS246 password - guaranteed!

I am sure there was good reason for changing everything but i'm struggling with the new look, seems to be much brighter than previously. Could you tone it down a bit please (my monitor settings have not changed). Audifans.net changed the site theme and produced a very difficult to look at site, not sure if their site traffic has recovered yet.

Also suggest you use the full word 'and' rather than shortening to '&' as this prevents the & error appearing in some of the section titles e.g. Site News, Issues & Suggestions.

Thanks

My day job is IT security, so I selected the best possible password complexity. It's good practice.

Is it such a bad thing? I use www.lastpass.com and have seriously complex passwords, but only have to remember one.

Would prefer clicking on a web link to open a new window rather than changing the original window.

You're the best tester :) I spotted that too, but it means some code changes, so I need to try it on the test site first

Playing Devils Advocate, but I work in IT as well, and one thing from experience (I am sure you have come across this as well) is that if you make passwords over complex then users write them down somewhere, either on a post-it, in a notepad file and save it in my documents or on the desktop somewhere, and normally called something like passes.txt (I have seen all those and more)... so introducing a weaker security level.

My ethos is...the possibility of compromise must be considered in estimating password strength. So sometimes there needs to be a pragmatic approach.. complex enough to be secure but not so complex to compromise the security by making people need to write in down.

In PhilT's defence, I feel the right balance has been achieved :beerchug:

Like the guys have said above, already have wrote down that password already lol
