Was not sure if I was going to start a wee project on this car or not as the last few have not lasted long enough to do much of anything but so far I really like this car so time to play I think.

Car on the day I picked it up. Looking clean. That wont last.

Not sure where the project will go, time will tell

First Mod. ROC Euro induction kit.

Sounds lovely. A weird air chopping kind of noise when the turbo spins up. I really like it. No noticeable change in performance. Not intrusive, driving "normally" it is silent.

Filters look dry in the pics, they have since been oiled. No MAF on these cars so no issue

Second mod.

Stage 1 remap. Running around 530-540bhp at 1.4bar max. Still more logging to do before I increase boost and maximise timing for around 560-570bhp and over 850nm

Made a huge difference to the car. It was lazy and quite annoying standard. You really had to nail it for any kind of performance. The difference is night and day now. Light touch on the throttle and its off. Drives very well.

Third Mod

Only bought these yesterday so will be a while before I get them fitted.

Plan is to marry them to the original exhaust and move to stage 2 map

I have done some VCDS tweaks as well.

Beep when lock and unlock
Boot open and close with key fob and switch inside car
Seatbelt chime removal
Lap timer, boost gauge. Pretty useless really. good to see oil temp though.

I still have some to do.

Lower car with VCDS. Cant go too low as cant get into hidden menu. Might end up getting adjustable lowering rods again
Enable hidden menu, although this look to be a real pain and will need to buy VAG commander or the like
Start / Stop disable

I hate the small MMI screen and non touch pad. Made a mistake there. Will look to upgrading them both.

Subscribed. Looking forward to your mods. Let me know how you get on with those pipes they were too good to pass up really. I did the beep unlock mod and twice I've come out and my car is u locked. Not sure if it's the mod or me being a tool.
Never happened before though.

Hmmm, I have never noticed the car being unlocked. Must keep an eye on that.

Agree that pipes were very good value (funny wife does not agree lol). should get them on this time home.

Looks like this requires addressed sooner rather than later.

S6 Charge cooler radiator in the pic
RS6 charge cooler radiator in the diagram.

No intension of buy the aftermarket stuff. Forge want £1k and AMS want £2k for a radiator that's just madness!!!

Will look to getting sizes and source my own radiator. probably looking at £150 after all its only a water radiator nothing special
