My R26

Had this R26 for nearly 2 years now and covered 43k miles so far.
The handling is sublime and a great fun car to drive on road and track.
Running costs are cheap as chips compared to my B5 RS4.
I've done three track days in the R26 and it was faultless.
Trackday at Brandshatch Spa and a European road trip to Luxembourg,Belgium and the Nurburgring.

I would really like to see how the R26R is like to drive ? Didn't you say you drove one on the ring bet that was an experience ?

My R26 has only got a mild Ktec remap running 240bhp and 270lb/ft torque. It really doesn't need modding much as standard they are great in the handling especially cornering but the straight line speed isn't great.
Future mods will be Milltek catback, Airtec intercooler and that's it.
Few more pics

Sounds like you've been having loads of fun Lynchy. Has it been reliable throughout?

Yes more reliable then my B5 RS4 ! And to be honest it's cheap to fix if something does go wrong but it's been mainly wear and tear items

Used to have one, very capable out the box but doesn't like more boost, same crank and rods as the 182!

R26.Rs go for silly money, this is the next best thing.

It’s been a cracking fun car. I’ve just got a mild map 240bhp and 270lb/ft torque. Airtec intercooler and Ktec 2”75 catback exhaust.
Got Cadwell on the 9th December can’t wait second time there meeting my mate who has a R26R and drives very well.
He only paid £16k at the time for he’s R26R 5 years ago !
From donington the other month

Lynchy, I got the RS175 in the end. Albeit a soot chucker, I absolutely love the thing. It’s a full R26 chassis, with the only difference being the 175dci engine (now mapped to 200bhp) and different gearbox (without an LSD) so everthing else upgraded over the 225 as per the R26. It does make me think the R26 will be an absolute weapon. I can’t believe what good value for money they are too. Are you running stock suspension?

It’s got Eibach pro lowering springs don’t feel any different to stock springs which are also Eibach
