Looks like a little missile waiting to get lit.
Bordering on Max but not out of style.

Looks nice but prefer it a bit lower likes Mike. I like the matt grey one too! I wouldn't call it max power - but i wouldn't go that low if i meant have to slow down for bumps; the RS6 is supposed to be a great allrounder so i wouldn't want to introduce the compromises of a supercar.

Just picked the car up from a good detailing. I had a new car detail, followed by a coating of Gtechniq Crystal Serum and Exo as well as the Gtechniq protection for plastics, leather, alcantara, wheels, hubs etc. Then I had some paint protection film added to the full bonnet, full front bumper, full wings, wing mirrors and rear bumper strip. That should keep it looking new for a while.
I was dark by the time I left so no proper daytime shots for now just some indoor crappy phone pics.

Edit; updated because I forgot to add I had paint protective film for full front bumper too and it was Gtechniq Crystal Serum used not C1.

Be interested to get your thoughts on the paint protection and how well it shows the Panther Black, as it's something I am thinking of doing on mine it it doesn't ruin how the cars paint looks in the sun.

I wanted to ask a load of questions about the work and film etc etc then saw the last photo. Those diagonal lawn stripes are going to be tricky to maintain!

With regards to the lines at the edge i couldn't see it on there until I really tried looking for it, the black hides it really well.

Can't comment about the shine yet though, I'll have to see it in daylight first. Indoors under the bright detailing lights it looked good though.
The detailing guy has just posted some photos on Instagram and it looks amazing. Once i have the actual photos I'll post them here too, they are much better quality than the ones I posted above.

He did the stripes on the seats, the carpet, door panels, looks amazing. They won't last long no doubt, but I guess it can't be too hard to reproduce with the right brush?

Who did the detailing? My S8 plus is due in a couple of months and I was looking at the Gtechniq so would be interesting to know your thoughts. I was also interested in the comments regarding the performance fuel and Co2 difference ect. With The S8 against the S8 plus all the figures are different and the road tax double. Is this not the case on the RS6 vs performance?

It was Aaron from Deep Impact Detailing in Daventry. Good fella, very helpful.
I can't say about the performance or economy versus the non performance model as I haven't had one, but the co2 figures given by Audi are identical therefore road tax is the same.

And I don't know too much about the gtechniq as its early days but I've read good stuff about it. Time will tell I guess .

It is good if your paint can take it. It did not get on with the Macan at all, it bloomed and had to come off. I don't think I'd use it again, other safer products available.

Cheers. The S8 is 520 and S8 plus 605. I believe the RS6 is 540 against performance at 605 so gather the plus and performance have the same mapping. The s8 plus road tax is £460 and mpg definitely less. So what's the performance road tax
