Over Rev on a dsg? Can't be done can it even in manual mode? Mine just refuses to change down if you try to.

DSG/stronic/PDK will refuse to change the gear down if there is a possibility of being anywhere over 6000revs (as far as I remember) also other way around if you hit the limiter it will be bouncing back until you change the gear,
I'm not a tuner but from my experience unless you tune your ECU specifically to lift the rev limiter the car will be protecting itself from you doing so
the software doesn't just change by itself

Wow this car was going to be amazing until PES got in the mix and had I known you was going this route I would have told you to keep well clear. Like you I also got my fingers burnt some years ago with their G2 Supercharger kit which worked fine if not pushed, but like you no support no help and in the end no communication so like you I sold the car with warnings but the last owner blew the engine.

Yea the car was awesome, miss it big time, there are guys running PES on their RS5s out there but none of them pushed the car properly, Examining the setup itself after the blow revealed several other issues with the design alone and other parts like diff and gearbox, if you just pot around town it would probably never happen but what's the point of blower then, there are several reasons why APR have not released their setup,
Also, if you install blower you add about 50kg at the front of the car so the balance changes not in your favor, all this power will heart you on every corner, but it will put smile on your face on every straight and on every traffic lights,
Long story short, wish I knew more history about PES or my ex-tuner be communicative and took some responsibility,
Well I moved on to a different project - pork turbo with several upgrades ...

As for PES - Tony and his associates can go and f#$% themselves, karma will get those monkeys one day ...
