Had time to fit Phaeton brake ducts.
Needed a bit of modding but they fit ok. ImageImage
Original vs modded phaeton

Now waiting for CASTLE COMBE on the 15th to test. :)
And adjusted the hight a little. Raised front 3mm and rear 4mm. Too many speed bumps around! I am more about how it drives rather than looks.

Rear drop links are in place. ImageImage
Now need to find time for the inlet spacers.
Also has anyone replaced the bushings on the upper control arms? I have 034 Motorsport adjustable arms that I had on my A4 and now need to refresh them with new bushings.
The question is, how does one go about doing it?
Also shall I replace them with Original 034 density lines or powerflex??? Image

My RS4 aka VINNIE thread

Today fitted JHM intake spacers. Woohoo!
Was my first time taking the manifold off and did the lot in under 5 hours, rather chaffed with that :)
As always ended up with one extra bolt lol. No idea what it was supposed to hold ha ha.
Anyhow, was a perfect opportunity to check up on my carbon cleaning that AMD did for me 4 months ago.
This is what it was prior the clean at the end of May.
Image
This is after 4+ months and about 2500-3000miles
Image
If you ask me, that's not a lot of carbon that came back so I am pretty happy with that. But saying that there are no guarantee it will stay like that for much longer and chances are after a year or so will require one more clean which I am not sure I want to do now.
Also blocked of axillary heating of the throttle body while at it. And removed intake separation plates.

Spacers in place.

Well what can I say, I like the results! Car pulls much stronger in 2,3rd gears. Especially around 5000rpm. Sounds great! There were a few fault codes that I had to clear and perform Vag-com throttle body alignment. And manifold feels much cooler. After a little test on the road bringing the oil temp to about 108deg. Parked the car at home, opened the bonnet and can put my hand up on the intake with out burning it :)

Here is a little time lapse of the process. ;)

Instrument cluster colour change.
Did this on my A4 and now did it for RS.
Love a bit of blue ;)
There are 12 PLCC-2 SMD 3528 leds for the main colour and 10 for needles.
The needles are supposed to be flurocent orange. But look more white to me. Might go back and rethink this one. But main color I am happy with.

Good work Pule, I do like the blue. Reminds me of my old Golf GTi, always liked the cluster in blue. I don't mind the needles in white either.

Thanks bud. Yeah I don't mind them in white but I want them brighter! As they are right now, very pale orange when dark and not very white during the day either :( kinda not satisfied.
