Today fitted JHM intake spacers. Woohoo!
Was my first time taking the manifold off and did the lot in under 5 hours, rather chaffed with that
As always ended up with one extra bolt lol. No idea what it was supposed to hold ha ha.
Anyhow, was a perfect opportunity to check up on my carbon cleaning that AMD did for me 4 months ago.
This is what it was prior the clean at the end of May.

This is after 4+ months and about 2500-3000miles

If you ask me, that's not a lot of carbon that came back so I am pretty happy with that. But saying that there are no guarantee it will stay like that for much longer and chances are after a year or so will require one more clean which I am not sure I want to do now.
Also blocked of axillary heating of the throttle body while at it. And removed intake separation plates.

Spacers in place.
Well what can I say, I like the results! Car pulls much stronger in 2,3rd gears. Especially around 5000rpm. Sounds great! There were a few fault codes that I had to clear and perform Vag-com throttle body alignment. And manifold feels much cooler. After a little test on the road bringing the oil temp to about 108deg. Parked the car at home, opened the bonnet and can put my hand up on the intake with out burning it
Here is a little time lapse of the process.
