apology for no replying folks, a lot happened since last time I wrote, still can't get my head around the events I've been put through in last 6 months,

the RS5 project is finished (unfortunately and unplanned), we ran into a massive issue,

I can't believe that people responsible for this still run their businesses as normal, like nothing ever happened, washed their hands with some bullcrap excuses, never admitted to their fault, not even contributed 1 minute of their time or $1 of their money to fixing of their f*** ups.

the car had been put together and sold in perfect condition almost as stock form,
the beast was never involved in any kind of accident,
it was really painful to see her going, my heart is still with the awesome car - RS5 ...

I promise to release all the details very soon, not a worry with great pleasure ...

Yes, I moved on to a different project, the RS5 was already 4 years old so decided not to continue, someone or shall I say some people really put me off from Audi's for now ...

Yeah hopefully your willing to expand on the reasons why as a few of the guys in the UK are contemplating the supercharger but wondering g if it was that which caused your project to end buddy.

sadly the build had ended unfortunately, I had few more things planned to have bit more fun with it but ...
not a worry I will try to put together complete story about the whole deal which went for something like 8 months with drastic end to the motor,
I am very much willing to expand on all details of the whole process, hopefully this weekend,
if anybody is contemplating the PES at the moment - stop, unless you are not pushing the car hard at all,

quick references:
drive it over 300km/h for a bit - the belt will snap, apparently Germans came up with wider belt upgrade kit but the tolerances are zero so would not bother,
drive it hard "on track" 5000-8250rpm - run few hard and high speeds laps, when heats up - boom,
downshifts hard between 6000-8250rpm - result of errors on dash and lose of power
you can launch it and go to a drag as long as you cool it down between runs
any issues in between or after you going to have to pay up, PES will not contribute even $1,
PES and their installers have excuses for every occasion, they are never at fault - you are or your car is, so pay up otherwise your car is stationary until you do

to start the long story - this was the biggest mistake of my life so far, never again, wish I knew the PES story from previous years, unfortunately this was my first audi

to be continued ...

feel free to ask any questions

Sad sad sad, was really enjoying this build, and the car looks stunning.
Hope you post up your next car and project, I'm sure it'll be as good.
All the best.

for those who want to know what went down with my RS5 ...

the PES tune was never good, problems since the day one
Lets start from the installation - 6 weeks or so, bloody ridiculous and to top it up the installer simply charged by the hour, at this stage I don't even remember how many stuff ups there were mostly due to PES incompetence, wrong pulley, cracked cover resulting in lose of boost, there was delay after delay, the tune was never right, was experiencing fuel cut offs since day one, PES could not work out what it was until they came with an idea perhaps pressure pumps upgrade. Spoke directly with the company doing those pumps upgrades for PES - HPFPUpgrade and was advised that the car should not even leave he Shop in first place let along be driven on track but not accordingly to PES, Tony was so confident about his setup that was encouraging to test it on track. all this time PES did not even try to adjust the tune to take into account the pumps issue. Anyways this was going on for about 6 months then we took it to a track again after advising PES about it.
So the infamous track day in June - session 1 went ok, session 2 only lasts for 2 laps then boom and we got engine blown.
The PES answer to that was, it's your fault, should have not taken it to a track, now you on your own.
very encouraging wasn't it
having heard that I took it to my mechanic, then for another month neither the PES installer or PES wanted to have anything to do with my case,
so imported another engine, swapped it, put car together to almost stock form and sadly let her go.
during that process I proposed several resolutions to PES and not one was accepted, even simply buying the kit back was not considered, if anything they were only buying time to sell another couple of kits.

Imagine this, neither PES or installer the CPC came up with even $1 in sharing the cost of repairs,

wish I knew way more about the PES past and never listened to CPC, this would have never happened,

very sad to see her going this way, the car deserved way more ...

said it before and ill say it again PES are (were) a joke, sucks for you mate :( gutted for you.

what choice do b8 owners now have for supercharging?, with PES gone and APR cancelling their 1740 kit?.

unfortunately this RS5 was my first Audi, so didn't dig out enough info from the past about PES,
So the PES haters club just grown by another member, pretty sure saki will blow it out of proportion across the whole net, pls do anyway,
it sucks hard but that's the reality, I moved on with pig project but will never forget the RS5 or forgive PES for this mess,

APR ran into problems of their own with the RS5 project,
Also, I came across another NA RS5 engine failure, unfortunately the new generation V8 is not all that bulletproof as the B7 one, hence the reason R8 V8 uses different V8,
the ssp just released the new clutch packs for s-tronics but the gearbox itself will fail at some point, the mechatronic unit can't handle that abuse, be aware,

happy to answer any questions

Hmmm what do say with regards to rumours that an over rev on your part had a massive impact on the engine going boom? Driving on track in manual mode and damaged a rod?

how can you over rev the engine if it has electronic limiter not allowing you to do so, please explain,
the RS5 ECU sets the limiter on 8250 revs whether you drive in manual or auto it will bounce off the limiter, try it for yourself,
the ECU will not let you over rev no matter what you do unless you changed the tune,
in may case the tune was done personally by Tony (PES) on dyno over here, which I paid for dearly,
That's a first time I hear about damaged rod, there is no damage to the bottom end, crank, rods etc, the engine was running while misfiring,
the only damage is a hole from the explosion on top of the 5th piston,
also car never ran anything less then 98-99 octane fuel,
the most common and often (daily) errors we were getting since the day one:

2838 - Fuel Rail/System Pressure
Too Low
7656 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 2
Insufficient Flow
7654 - Secondary Air Injection System: Bank 1
Insufficient Flow

doesn't that tell you not enough fuel !!!

PES answer to that was - we are working on it but don't worry nothing serious, feel free to go on track, our kit is bulletproof,

well guess what, those are codes from the read out straight after the blow as well, hmmm interesting isn't it,

Also, let me clarify another rumor - supposedly the TCU tune (transmission tune from German Motoring) lifts up the RS5 rev limiter, another very interesting fact from PES lovers,
The TCU tune was introduced and installed (with Tony's consent) by PES dealer here - CPC Performance, so PES is still at fault regardless,
Any queries about German Motoring TCU flash please contact them directly

I never heard it from a pes lover but read an in depth response on another forum regarding the failure.

all good mate, as you know any manufacturer is going to defend its ass and try to sell you any crap they got just to come on top, it's not my point
I proposed to PES to buy their kit back, regardless of any other associated costs I accoutered, with no hard feelings but they even refused that.
So I'm happy to release all the truth, I got no reason to lie, the money is paid and car gone.
The real reason I'm posting this is to make all aware of the process I went through while dealing with people so called "tuners"
