On the Rollers
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: On the Rollers
Yes I was hoping for more.....the estimated crank figures (which are probable a little pessimistic) are 382.1BHP & 390ft/lb. The car makes over 350 ft/lb from 2800 rpm up to redline !
Apparently a milltek'ed RS4 made 295 BHP at the wheels on the same RR.
On the same RR within minutes of each other mine made 302.3 and Woody's made 233.6, a difference of 70WHP.

I believe you should be happy with this result as these rollers are pretty well known to be pessimistic. I have often heard that they under read by approx 0.29%.
Strewth, reading back through this thread the addtional 0.9hp would make it the exact prediction I gave
Please ask if you would like a power run, myself and GrahamS4 are now going into partnership with a new rolling road that you don't even have to bring the car too. Graham does power at the wheels, and me at the flyweel. It's also proven to be one heck of a lot more accurate than any of the other tuners efforts.

That was mad and very loud! Infact so loud that it took a little while for my hearing to return in my right ear.jeffw wrote:There was a modified Supra there that made 620 BHP at the wheels....was mad and orange...very orange.

People were talking to me but I didnt know what they were saying and had to guess half the time.
Btw, I was the guy with the Red S2.

Minhea/Doug, I think I need to come and see you guys, the car isnt running all that well.
jeff - you have an email - but you are still running the map for the stock ICs. And I think your torque is low so we need to see what the boost curve was on the day. Was there any other cars there that had been to previous RR int he same spec so we can compare? Next time - someone can borrow my car to see if it gets similar results.

Transpires that the car is running a low boost map which doesn't take account of the RS4 ICs. Peak boost is 1.3 bar. This is my mistake as I should have taken the car back to MRC to get a final map from Mihnea. I'm going to take the car back to Surrey RR once the map is done and see what WHP I get then.
Is anyone interested in a Rolling Road Day at Surrey RR ? They are in Cobham, Surrey if that helps. We could have a RS246 day.

So...been back to see Doug and it's now got a new map.
Prior to going I ran a FATS which was 4.1 sec....if you run that through the Vast website with 3850lbs you get 302 WHP....exactly what I made on the rolling road.
I've just done another FATS with a time of 3.73...if you use 3850lb again you get 332 WHP or 443BHP at the crank with 25% loss
Car now goes like stink.!!!
