why thank you! Do love Audis but a bit of a car nut with a few different cars to play with (currently 16!) but also have a ur quattro trackday car with 350 bhp and a 6 speed box conversion. Got the parts for another project - RS4 engine into a ur quattro - but just waiting for the right donor car to come up!clive.harper wrote:Look forward to reading about it...and what a pair (of cars) you have!DamoM wrote:I bought one! well :) i am the distributor
we do over a pretty good discount already, and will be sure to launch with a great discount on CAN version also.
do send a email out to me, and register at the EFU forum at my site:
http://www.techreactions.com/forum
the product info is here:
http://www.techreactions.com/efu.thml
As to graphical info.. i guess that is personal perference, we have peak hold (hold for 0.8 seconds) as well as trip max hold for all 4 VALUES of our sensor. It also warn you with a alarm beep. I think gauge is great, but it should only report the info IF relevant info is being reported.. else i would like to enjoy my drive

RE: well :) i am the distributor
I have some observations relative to this product.
Why spend money on a unit with speed, volts , oil information when the car already does this and displays it quite well (S4 / Rs4)?
"Can", Is it relevant to S4 / Rs4?
What is V1 radar input and is this relevant to S4 / Rs4?
I love the boost facility but can also understand how a gauge is easier to understand and read, but warning facilities are a good advantage to this system.
Why not do a unit with boost ,maf, oil pressure, egts , inlet temps and lambdas?
That would sell well in my opinion.
Maybe just do a cheaper boost unit.
I totally appreciate the quality of the product but feel the car produces other relevant info and question why this is not focused on.

RE: well :) i am the distributor
Flashyg,
thanks for the suggestion, and we love to hear from our customer
ah so there is a little history that i need to share with you guys on the design and upcoming for the EFU.
the designer have a TT and don't have oil sender nor a boost gague for his turbo charged TT... so he begin the project and begin selling the EFU kit. I come along, and add and define the requirement for the market for the need of a V1 radar detector remote displaya integration to the Audi cluster (trust me, it is relevant in the US market). That is while we continue to work on a final design which will work for CAN version for both Audi CAN (4 weeks) and VW CAN (Audi CAN release + 3 weeks), and eventually working on the G2 (VW CAN + ?).
we have technically able to achieve the G2 version by probing and retrieving data fromt eh Audi CAN motor bus.. as well as entertainment bus... in there we will be able to achieve most of the sensor reading (if not all) from the audi factory gauge (we do need Boost and additional sensor if you modify your car to go beyond the oem sensor).
Btw, we have both MAF and EGTs sender for our 1.2-1.4 version of EFU... it is just $200+ additional per sender and you will be $800+ for 6 sensor reading. We hope to achieve better price point with G2.
The question for you guys of course is rather you will wait for the G2, or enjoy the unit and protect the dear K04 (k03 in my case) before the "right" solution is available.
Once again, i greatly appreciate for your suggestion. We constantly listern to our customer and potential client and improve our client as such.
case in point: our competitor suggest that negative PSI is not accurate, we release mm Mercury version on 4u
a audiworld user suggest that MAX HOLD is requrie for all boost gague, and we will implement this feature on the upcoming batch of May production with that software.
we do have a forum, so feel free to post there in case i missed anything on so many forum that is out there

Hi Louis,
Great to see your input in this topic. There's a couple of things that spring to mind:
1. Why integrate with the V1 when it has no stealth capabilities, i.e. you can't hide the unit. Why not integrate with something that has remote sensors that can be hidden away?
2. If you would be willing to offer a unit to the site for testing/promotion, please email crew@rs246.com.
I've been watching this product for about 3 or more years, great to see that it has come along.
Have fun,
Phil.

Be nice to see results damo.... been looking at these for a while, just need to get my DIS fixed before I go spending on something unusable..DamoM wrote:I bought one! Will let you know what it is like when I get it and get it fitted......
What config/selection have you taken, i think boost & oil temp would be my fav's......
cheers

Yes, I didx the boost/oil temp/ voltmeter combination. To be honest I would pay this for a good boost gauge and to actually have this one in your dash display with peak hold and warnings is exactly what I wanted before I go tuning!!!rolskii wrote:Be nice to see results damo.... been looking at these for a while, just need to get my DIS fixed before I go spending on something unusable..DamoM wrote:I bought one! Is the refresh rate of the DIS good enough for use as a boost gauge?
