New RS3 Lead Time

I have an RS3 coming for the wife to be a little sister to my RS6 Perf.

However, despite ordering in December I still don't have a build date.... Likely to be coming in April/May. Long wait for a hot hatch.

Per tradition here is spec:

ext warranty
nappa leather
Driver assistance pack
Bucket seats
Matrix LEDs
Comfort Pack
Magnetic ride

Great spec - almost identical to mine! Although I ticked the Sports Pack and Black pack options and didn't go for the side assist / driver assistance pack.
I ordered mine last day of November, build week was given as 2nd Feb - it's now built, through QA and I got notification today that it is now on the boat over from Germany.

The next few weeks will drag until March!

Order date 1/12/17
Will begin construction on 2/4/18. 5 months after order!

Even my Morgan 3 wheeler which was ordered in November will be here in March and they only build one of those a month.....

Wow! That is nuts!! What was your dealer up to?

It will be worth the wait - I picked mine up at the weekend and it's fantastic. Already swapped off the standard rotors and replaced with my RS6 replica wheels and winter tyres... I'll give it a month of so before the summer wheels go on. Needs a bloody good wash following the 350+ mile drive home but you get the gist:

Well it finally arrived. A long wait but a pocket rocket!
