at 4.000 rpm it sounds like i have air brakes loosing all boost .i have checked all hoses, change diverter valve for a baileys dv 30,i have also changed solinoid valve for wastegate,i have even put doubled the jubilee clips not to shure if the solinoid valve is putting the boost into air intake instead of engine it does not look like it fits anyother way.

can anybody help!

you need to do a boost leak check, do a search on the s2 forum to learn how.

i have put 20lb of pressure in high pressure hoses found no leaks. i think the solinoid valve controling the wastegate and over boost is the problem. It will not run with it off but it releases boost after 4.000rpm with it on has anyone got any ideas please.
i hive also taken off the baileys dv 30 and put on a hyper boost hxc vavle instead still not working.

are you fitting the wastegate frequensy valve(the one you mention as selenoid) the right way?If you have the OEM hoses,it the plug should point to the back, the bottom tube connects to the turbo coldside, the right tube as you view it with you sitting in front of the engine goes to the MAF to turbo hose and the left goes to the wastegate.

Also when the car is cold, you can take all small bolts off the wastegate cap and visualcheck the wastegate diafragm. It could have a tear.

Can you read the fault codes?

every thing is fitted correctly from what i can gather, but i am wondering if there is anyway of re booting the ecu.
all because someone has mentioned that the frequency valve is ecu controled and is not permenantly on,
i have changed wastegate diaphram already.
its a swine (bloody car)

If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then give up.

Take it from one who has recently learned the hard way - give it to a specialist. It sounds as though you haven't found anyone in sunny Blackpool who can help so my advice is take it to MRC, on a trailer if necessary.

It certainly can't do any harm to give them a call, they're good guys.

Good advice Dicky

As stated above, there's also a wealth of experience and advice over on http://www.s2forum.com about these cars.

i have now replaced all high pressure boost pipes, recirq valve, waste gate frequency valve, throttle positioning sensor, speed sensor,
i have also bought the multi functional temperature sensor but have been unable to fit it as yet haven't got a spanner big enough to change it.
i have fitted a boost gauge to monitor boost pressure, it is only running ten pound of boost and its running sluggish.
anybody know where my boost has gone!!
i'm missing my car as it should be its like driving a mini in comparison it's killing me.

10psi is well down on what it should be boosting! Something seriously wrong there... Does the turbo whine?

Get it booked into www.mrctuning.com or post up your problems on www.s2forum.com

my problems all started with over filling car with oil, this blew oil out of boost pipes creating boost leak,i washed engine with pressure washer and filled spark plug holes with water, the water had damaged coil packs i replaced them external coil packs from 034 motorsports.
with the waste gate frequency valve in one position it will run at 10lb of boost and in another way it will run 15lb of boost for a short while and throw it all away after 4.000rpm,and the other way it runs no boost at all.
i have changed all these parts to try find the problem not for any more performance!

Is it actually showing 0 boost on your gauge or 0.4?

i think the worse you could actually do was to wash the engine with a pressure washer...these engines HATE water, and then all misfires and problems start...
