RS2 on fleabay

Post by Shoppinit » Sun Jan 22, 2012 6:29 pm

Anyone know this car?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI. ... SS:GB:1123

I'm confused by the last 2 lines of the ad:
This car has been garaged for the last 4 years.

Sale due to price of long distance commute.
Did he commute in his garage then?

Guess he means its too expensive to commute in!

But 10.5k already, with 6days to go? Blimey!

Its a left hooker though that would put me off.

Yeah, I want a left hand drive. They used to be quite common, but now extremely rare. I'm surprised the price has gone so high so fast, though.

Possibly. 3 different bidders though.

Last time I missed one on ebay it went to a German company that specialised in breaking RS2s. Sad :(

Terrible timing, I'm not really in a position to buy anyway. This is the first left hooker in a year. It if was an irresistable price then I might try to find a way, but at that price you can start to find reasonable cars in Europe.

It looks a nice car but i would rather opt for this one

or find an extra 1.5k and go for this.

The car in question though has done fairly low miles, most RS2's have gone past 100k miles.

I love the noggy blue one. That's is the ideal spec... except I want one with LHD :(

My dream RS2 would be Noggy Blue with the black Noggy Blue suede interior, or maybe a Yellow RS2, i do like them in Yellow, super rare though.

I can't believe there are so few of these left. :(

Get an RS6 quick before they go the same way! There are already next to no Sprint Blue ones...

Only 180 RS2's came to the UK, not many will remain. Sprint Blue RS6's are super rare, Amar on AudiSRS has a Sprint Blue RS6 Plus which is gorgeous. The B5 RS4 is also very rare, hard to find examples with lowish miles.

Not sure why that RS Blue one is still there - IIRC it was for sale last year, then dissappeared, and its back up again. Looks a good spec at a decent price.

Can't imagine prices getting any lower than they are now, in all honesty. Love that yellow one though!

Yeah, I think your right Adam. I had that yellow RS 2 as my wallpaper for a good 6 months.

I'm on here too, blimey, maybe I should keep mine then. I am about to hit 40k miles this month, hit 39k last week, I've done £500 a month in fuel since I started using it. Time to get a second car, bubble wrap my sprint one and let it appreciate? :bigblink:
