UPDATE:

After phoning around a few places the last couple days and basically having difficulty finding anywhere that’s perfectly suitable for our needs, I have decided to have the 2012 Gathering once again at The Old Lodge Malton. Biggest problem with going elsewhere is shortage of time and uncertainty of numbers. The Old Lodge are very accommodating that way and are absolutely delighted to have us back again. Having been there before we know that ; accommodation is first class, food is good, management/staff friendly and welcoming, and we’ve got a guaranteed area set aside for us.
The management are also quite happy to allow us on the front lawn again, - even if it rains/has been raining. Apparently the ground there is very free draining and not likely to be an issue! So same deal as last time, all Audi’s welcome but B7 RS4’s will be given priority on the front as its ‘our day’, last year we had 40 RS4’s.
There is a fair size area at the back of the hotel (on the grass) as well as spaces at the side for any others who want to come along. I would imagine room for 30 cars or so?

Regarding accommodation; there are 13 rooms available in the Old Lodge for Sunday night and they have also own another place ‘ just along the road’ (not yet opened) with another 8 rooms available for both Saturday and Sunday nights. It would be advisable to phone and book/reserve them as soon as possible and leave a Deposit. http://www.theoldlodgemalton.co.uk/ The hotel are offering us a very generous discount on their standard rates so please book early to make sure you get a room. We pretty much filled the place last year.

We will also be organising a Sunday lunch again and full details of that will follow later. In the meantime if you could add how many for lunches against your name below it will help me with numbers so I can go back to the management.

After last years very successful inaugural meeting we aim to build on that and have a few wee things planned to make the day a fun and enjoyable experience for everyone. Hope thats all clear and really hope you can make it along.

Looks like this is running in parallel to the post on the B7 RS4 section. A little confusing so here's some links to jump between the two:

Here's from the very start of the post in the B7 section:

Just me now, the missus doesn't have enough holidays to cover the Monday as she's just changed jobs (Only 3.5 days available until the end of the year).

5 weeks until the meet.
Do we have any more owners who can commit to attending?

Hopefully a few more will add their names, would be good to get some of the newer members attending too.

For those who couldn't make it or weren't owners for the last meet in July, it really is worth the effort to attend, 40 RS4 were there last year.

I'm sitting on the fence due to the huge distance from me plus my lad would need a day off school for it to work but these pics are swaying me lol

You're about the same distance from Devon as myself and Iain are from Aberdeen!

Yeah, my quandry is that i'll be collecting my car from MRC on the friday so could continue up from there as i'll already be halfway... but if i do that then i need to take my son out of school for the friday as there is no way i'll be forgiven if i don't take the wife lol... He's already taken a couple of days off this year so its not that easy and it's too far to go back to Devon on friday and head back up again on the Saturday....

Your wife and son can get a train and meet you up there, no?
