Its just a few local guys with a good mixs of vws a s4 and a couple of jap cars that meet in east kilbride.I was thinking more of a day out or hire the rolling road at star performance for a day if we could get enough people together.

Hi.
I'm certainly up for a meet of like minded fans.
I'm based in Dumfries, so anywhere is likely to mean a journey.
Glasgow seems a good spot fairly central - although I work for Carlisle Audi so it's a bit of a busman's holiday!
I'd probably prefer a meet and an organised run out somewhere - up to Loch Lomond or something?

I'm up for meet. Just driven the A82 and A83 today - it's pretty packed in the summer at weekends and lots of mobile traffic cops. Lochearnhead or Crieff areas? Where is Star Performance?

Hi Guys up for a meet, I live in Edinburgh so anywhere would suit, Star Performance is in Dyrce ( i think ) just outside Kirkcaldy.
Jim is a very welcoming chap , dose have alot of meets at his place with scubbys and mitsu's.
Hey Drybeer , do you have any 6 owners taking up the repalcment DRC at your place of work , or do they have no com's from Audi Uk yet?
Calum

I'm in Edinburgh too.
Not too fussed about a Dyno day to be honest .. they never give you anything but disappointment

Why don't you guys meet up for a track day at Knockhill ?

Jim is good for hosting 'club' rolling road shoot-outs. I attended one about a 18 months ago organised by the VW forum, and took the RS4 up. I think you need to have a minimim of 20 cars or so, and then it costs £30\car for a rolling road test with full printout of the spec.
Always up for meeting up, though I don't have the time nor the appetite for organised hooning around the country. I find these sort of events invariably attract the wrong 'characters'.

I did Knockhill to death with my Elise .. at the expense of 2 engines. That was pricey enough so I think I'll keep the 6 well away from there. I can imagine brakes, tyres and gearbox would take an absolute roasting!

No quattrokid1. 'Fraid there's lots of Iain Browns about - another one in the same street as me... I've got black RS6. Did pester owner of pearl quattro for years but I was fifth on her list of folk who'd offered to buy it from her.
Friend of a friend was called Gus - he stayed West end Glasgow and had UrQuattro but eventually garaged it mostly. It was on the route home from Byres Road and rarely had a weekend without a theft attempt or a kebab left on the windscreen.

hi Calum Mcculloch.
Our place doesn't have too many c5 RS6s.visiting it.
In the area there are maybe 3 including mine from SW Scotland down to the lake district (that I know of).
Typical, I had only shelled out to completely replace DRC about 5 weeks before Audi decided to extend "goodwill" to my age of RS6. Mind you despite the DRC being more comfortable I'm please at the handling difference with my current set up.
Have you still got DRC? If so just consider that Audi will pay for the parts but not the labour on it, so to completely replace the system you might still consider replacing with coilovers as they will not fail in a short time like the DRC fix.
PM me if you like.
Back to the thread, I'd prefer the star performance visit to the Knockhill one for the sake of my new tyres and brakes!
