I just received my booking form for the track day organised by AutoMetrix Publications for only VW and Audi. The fee is £120 for the whole day. I went to the last one and it was absolutely brilliant and loads of fun. It would be nice to see some of our guys there.

If anyone's interested, here are the details:

Tel: 01525 750 500

Cheers

John

P.S. For the first time, you will have to wear a helmet to this one

Give my regards to the troop John

And tell Amanda she's a little minx, and don't forget the joke about my grandad dying in his sleep.... that was a cracker and she actually wet herself.

I hope to be there although prolly not on track as my brakes are a bit second hand (haven't got around to fitting the big feckers Thorney sold me yet - too busy with work  )

I know coombe is a bit hot on noise, so how does the RS4 get on for this when fitted with a different pipe ?

Cheers,
john.

Coombe is fine for the RS noise wise.
Mine is on full milltek with 100 cell cats and passes no problem.

Good track for the RS as its really a power circuit, only really 4 corners plus a couple
of chicanes, easy to learn and pretty fast.

See some of you tomorrow then :bigwave:

Hi all,

I was there....... Only i went today, got up early and cleaned the car and all sorts.

Got there to find a load of pushbikes riding around the track and the place empty.......DOH !

Felt a proper <beep>.

ALthough when I was 15 I went to watch the rollingstones at Wembley Stadium a day late - found the place deserted apart from 20 Chinese tourists....

At least Coombe is only 45mins away.

Was it a good day ?

Well Tom, we did go, but got there late and left early.
In true style went out on the p!ss with Guy & Glenn, got a lock-in
at the pub and finally left there at 4am ! :drink:
After a drink induced lie-in we got to track around 11:15.

I saw 4 RS4's there (two on the AmD stand), and a couple of RS6's.
There were loads of S2's, a couple of swb quattro's etc.
Some very nice kit indeed.

Didn't get chance to speak to the other RS4 owners as they always
seemed to be heading out for the track as I was heading towards
where they were parked.

The Red RS4 on the AmD stand looked very tidy (owner was wearing
a red footie shirt - anyone here ?)
The silver RS4 by their stand had a plate I recognise from this forum
but forget who owns it now.

So, although we went on the right day, I think your closing smiley applies to us too
