2 mile straight runway, Vmax speed runs

Hi guys,

A few of you have been before, I'm running another Vmax day on sunday June 20th.

The basic premise is that around 25 to 35 of us take varying porsches, ferraris, tvrs, lambos and in the past a fair few rs4's, 6's and an Rs2, M5's, M3's and CSL's as well as a RUF 911 and a Brabus merc SL. This variety of cars gives some great straight line comparisons down the straight. We then point them at the 2 mile straight and drive as fast as we can go (2 at a time!). at the end of the straight there is electronic timing equipment for max speed recording.

Its a great fun day out, costs approx £150 per car (depends on final numbers) and you will get around 15 to 20 runs (in the past up to 25). There are also some good twisties on the way back to the straight so you can have a play there also.

Not really that close, but not too far away either (about 150 miles), but i think i'll be up for it. Just checking my schedule as i'm likely to be moving house either that weekend or the weekend before/after.

What do you need from me & when do you need it?

Final question, is there any associated event on the Saturday (19th)? I'd probably be looking to stay over on the Saturday night, given the distance involved (what time does everything get going on the Sunday?), so also is anyone staying over the night before & if so what hotel?

we tend to start at around 9.30 with safety briefing, runs start at around 10. Not sure if anyone staying on the sat night I'm afraid. Nothing going on that day.

My standard S4's not really in the same league but I'm interested in coming to watch. Do they allow spectators and is there any charge?

Hi Lewis, I'm sorry but no spectators, its a real shame but we had a few problems last time which nearly resulted in me not being allowed to rebook the circuit.
