It's been a while. How about towards end of Nov, or beginning Dec?
Usual place: Rykas Cafe.
Baz - fancy leading another drive down to Hindhead tunnel?

Chaps, I have an idea! Take a look at this link, road no. 2 is right next to the tunnel(ish)........
http://www.driving.co.uk/news/top-uk-dr ... ds-part-1/
Text below in case the link doesn't work for anybody.....
2. Godalming to Chichester, Sussex - Length 30 miles
This fast-flowing drive on clear roads through some of the south east’s finest scenery begins in....Godalming...... Leave the town heading south on the A3100 for Milford and thence to the A283, where your drive really kicks off. Most folk choose the A286 leaving you free to
a) admire the picture-postcard scenery or b)
engage Sport and, conditions permitting,
give it some
. Soon you’ll be passing the village of Chiddingfold ..... and within a few miles, historic Petworth House. Now join the A285 and just south of the village of Duncton ready yourself for a joyful but all-too brief switchback ascent of the South Downs escarpment. Thereafter the prospect of the sea carries you to the A27 and Chichester.
Technical difficulty:
★★★☆☆
Flowing bends, long straights, tricky Duncton climb
Views:
★★★☆☆
Olde England at its charming best
What do you think? Give this a try?

I'd recommend this as a good drive. It'll start off at the Hindhead tunnel for you Asbo's, then head down the A3 to the Petersfield exit, come off there and go past Lazante where if you're lucky and the dust covers are off, you might catch a glimpse of their P1 LM, F1 GTR or some other supercar/racecar. Head down towards South Harting where you then pick up an old hill climb route (B2141) this will lead out to some lovely open flowing road. After that you'll turn towards Singleton and approach Goodwood Racecourse along another nice uphill section. Going around the racecourse, you'll then start to traverse the top of the South Downs where upon you'll have a great view out to the sea along Selhurst Park Road. That road then picks up the A285 where you'll head north towards Petworth taking in some more lovely rolling Sussex countryside and a drive down the Duncton Hill section mentioned in the Sunday Times piece above.
Link to route which takes an hour from Hindhead to Petworth.
