They had helmets available to hire last year, was about 10 quid I think.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year :( - was a fun day last time!

They're pretty strict on noise there, and the DB level is static tested at 4k before you get a track pass
I'll dig out the DB ratings, but I've seen standard exhaust R8's fail it previously

Perhaps they're getting better - This is from the ADI site ;

Scrutineering
After signing on, all track vehicles must be sound checked. The noise limit is 100 db(A), measured at 0.5 metre from the exhaust outlet at 4500 rpm.

At least I've now got it back on another set of B5 Avus.

I have absolutely no holiday left, unfortunately I will have to take pot luck I'm not requested to man the office that weekend. I get to know five / six weeks in advance of the date, fingers crossed
Yey, managed to get confirmation before I left at 5pm this afternoon I'm definitely off that weekend. I'll be in the A4.

Winner, good to have you along Ian
I've been in Canada since end of last month, but I'm back on the 18th, so I can check my post for the passes and we can work out the distribution of them
Off topic, but this country has some incredible driving roads

Haha would be fun to track my shed, complete with DIY tools in back for comic effect, have new discs and pads all round, but I'm not sure my clutch would cope...

Manage to get much cycling in? Those mountains look unreal!

Back home now, and no passes in the post yet, so I'll chase them up
Ian, didn't get any cycling in and have a knackered foot at the mo, but saw lots of the country. Enough, in fact, to be thinking about moving out there

Hope you had a good time in Canada graeme,
I wont be doing any track time my cars to slow compared to the rest of yours lol, wouldn't mind a passenger ride in someone's car though if there is any going.

Just got home, and I've not had the passes through yet, but I've spoken with them and should expect them soon
Can we update the list with who's coming and who needs a stand pass (mark yourself with 'SP') ;

SP - Graeme4130 - 2014 B8 RS4
DSM B8 RS 4
Ryantarpey S3
Ian_C - A4 shitter
Neilparf - B7 RS4 (slow shape)
RIV-RS4 B8
Nobby - C5 RS6
Ryan's mate - RS4
Ross - RS4 B8
RichieRS - B7 RS4
TAB1S - B7 RS4
Toyneg - B7 Rs4
Bazza - B7 RS4
NJMAudiRS4 - B7 RS 4 (fast Bread Van)

Once they arrive, I'll collect in some home addresses from you all via DM, and get them posted out
I'll suggest a drive it for those coming along M4 from the East, so meet up at Costa at Junction 16 (next to hilton) at 08:30, and I can distribute other passes then too

Happy to collect at Costa as long as I'm not held up on A34 etc. Last year I never planned to meet at Costa but had an excellent drive down in my then-new [to me] snotter and arrived ahead of time. Got to Costa junction just as it absolutely monsooned, so I just cruised into Combe instead of stopping

I'm pretty sure one will still be able to get through the gate without the piece of paper if you just quote 'RS246' on the gate, they always seem fairly organised with clip boards, club displays lists and trade stand layouts etc etc. So not a disaster it anyone loses theirs etc
