I've just booked it
will make a judgement call on the 888's on Friday night as can change them over myself after work.

this forecast suggests it will be dry

forecast now says dry in the AM ... rain (light drizzle) after lunch ....

is it worth changing over my wheels ?!?!?!?

I'm thinking if it gets wet and it's as slippery as rumour would suggest, I might be better off with spare pants rather than spare wheels

Just arrived at Donington, very wet journey up, if it stays like this then its not 888 weather.

I have managed to squeeze in a kettle so you only need a mug if you want a brew.

Wish i could have made this but got family commitments this weekend so couldn't. Itching to give the M5 its 1st track outing.

Be careful as others have said, Donnington in the dry is very fast & forgiving, but in the wet & with the addition of Boeings & Airbus's finest deposits on track it's like Torvill & Dean's best Dancing On Ice episode.

For the Lotus too wet for you it's your call, what's the R8 on the road when it's wet on 888? The lotus is lethal. More so on the front than the rear.

it was ok on the road on 888's.... but i did notice a difference when the temps dropped .... i think if they are warm, they are ok ...

Lotus vs. R8 = quattro !

Wouldn't worry too much, drivers briefing is the key thing at 0830...you can sign on and noise test at any point.
