I'd still like to know what happened, I was behind him, his car started smoking then the drivetrain looked to have locked up and it spun towards the in-field. Made a mess of the session, we waited an hour to complete the session.
Still, no one hurt so all good.

He split a hose and dumped steaming coolant everywhere. It must have gone under his rear wheels as I think that's what lost traction first from what I could see
I was two cars behind him and was already super conscious of not having track insurance, so was pottering around

At the end of the day, its not a race...track time is just for a bit of fun...I always drive 6 or 7 tenths and leave traction fully on...I'm not Lewis Hamilton so I'd rather not take the risk as there are no points or prizes at stake.

When we finally got back out on track, I was last out on a random session that had a load of S3's, so I hung back for a lap to clear some space....then booted it and ended up catching them all up and then overtaking them all....R8 V10 on 888's on track is just unreal!!

This is the look bam gave me just after the fuel light came on. 15 mins later we were driving in the middle of no where looking for fuel, we bonded during this time

Need to get some new discs and pads, that other S4 was out braking me, but he does have RS5 brakes on the fronts.

I did umpteen track days at CC in my Tvr and I end up thinking I'm Alonso for the sessions, but the combo of my Audi and castle Combe just makes me uncomfortable
