Don't think they would have seen the night through at the table anyway Nick. Mini Michael was bullied into sitting there.
I thought Mr T confirmed that we had all paid when brainstorming at ADI? either way, doesn't matter really, nobody missed out on the night and Sally was brilliant.

I make a comment about serving him right - seems more of you have now seen how he drives!!

That's also why he had the grey wing/bonnet on:
I loved the guy and honestly he was driving exactly how I would have been too. You have helmets, you are on a track, your car is worth £50 on a good day, drive it like you bloody well stole it. I kept watching with a big grin every time that he came around as I knew he was genuinely giving it his all and if you aren't doing that, why are you on the track exactly?
I appreciate what you're saying but there is a line where you start putting others at risk... but it's all to be expected at Combe TBH.
Can't really remember there being many cars around him, this could have been due to the way he was driving.

I understand and I could only ever see what he was up to at the pit corner BUT, when you go on the track and you have track day insurance, you have to factor in that there is the potential for someone to be having more on the limit fun than you or perhaps more talent than you and you may hold them up etc etc, or they just use more of the track in front of you and are a bit more hassle to pass despite the slower car rules. I wouldn't like it one little bit if someone took me out on the track but, I would be prepared for that event when I went on the track.

At the end of the day if he didn't come off then he was driving within the limits of the car and the track non?

I have made many mistakes on the roads at speed over the years where I have totally overcooked it (sometimes on purpose though) but I have leant from every one and most of the time can get myself out of those situations easily enough.

Perhaps they should have nice car sessions and banger sessions next time. Would be funny watching people complaing that there machines weren't in fact bangers.

I loved the MRC yellow peril, Bam's on maximum attack was nice, the Octavia was very impressive and a couple of the golfs were very nippy. Rally slag/gt prepped Quattros over everything else though.

I did cheekily park on the club stand (apologies I hadn't organised this but didn't have the time with work etc.) I have several paid up stickers.

On Saturday night there was some slight confusion in that 8 members of RS246 turned up for the meal but only 5 had paid. I didn't want to cause a fuss and let them stay, but said we would need payment on Mon/Tues.

Below are the 5 who had paid:
Duncan
Faye
Nick + 1
Luke

I have left a message with Luke as he had already paid for himself, so he just needs to pay for his partner.
Can you contact these two people and ask them to ring me today with payment - thanks

Let me get this straight Phil...You’re chasing Jack Dee and the Statham brothers (+bodyguards Amar and his mate) for...what amounts to a slight oversight from Mr Dee and his entourage?...You boys should have been honoured to have such celebrities in your midst

Zero CATs and a rich map will do that.

/EDIT I've contacted Sally, she's cool and the gang now.

The best summer tyres you can get will do that too when strapped to a heavy monster on a damp/part drying/back to damp at each sprinkle track. These beasts more than make up for it on the straighter stuff.

Nah, it was pretty dry when I saw the RS3 behind and to be honest I thought he'd pass me on the straight but Darth pulled harder than a 12yr boy. He is slow in the corners though, I do apologise if I was holding you up, it was my first trackday in the C5 so I was pretty focused at looking forward. It ain't a track car but it was still immense fun.

Anyone know who the aged driver of the Audi UK R8 Spyder GT was?
In all the excitement of my test drive I forgot to ask :-)

Hats off to the hospitality though... Despite not knowing the prices of any of the Merchandise the freebies were great.... Including my test drive in a RS4 at Millbrook next week.

He was an old-timerr F1 driver, I was told his name but it escapes me now. Wasn't he in his 70s?!?!
