New faces are always welcome

As Faisal has mentioned, we meet up usually around 10-11am depending on the time of year at Rykas which is a popular Cafe where you can by coffee and hot food. We then chin wag and mooch around each other’s cars, some may use the opportunity to ask for a quick passenger ride down the A24 and back. Occasionally there has been another car meet going on at the same time and usually there's a number of motorbikes parked up as well.

This is the first time we've decided to add in a proper drive out, if people have other commitments then just come and go as you please.

The route I proposed is 102 miles in total, starting off and returning to Rykas Cafe. It should be completed sensibly in under 2.5 hours and takes in a wide variety of roads including the Hindhead tunnel for the 'inner' ASBO petrol head some may possess. It's no Welsh or Scottish drive out but there are some nice parts of the South Downs that we will drive around.

All - I presume those who wish to do the drive, want to do so after the meet?

This is looking like a great meet and drive and I can't make it this time as will at the rugby instead. Darn!
Have a great time.

Shouldn't take that long should it Sam? :bigblink: And yes I would say meet up before the drive, but happy either way.

So sounds like:
Meet at 10ish at Rykas
Leave 11ish
Drive for a couple of hours

Then? Are we going back to Rykas or stopping somewhere?

Ade, thinking about it.

We could drop into the Goodwood Racing Circuit for a 'pitstop'. Checking their latest diary, there's a Category 2 Track day going on there that day, this stops for lunch between 12:00-13:00. You can get hot drinks and snacks at the onsite Aero Club Cafe; some info in the links below.

Website link - https://www.goodwood.com/aero-club-cafe/main-menu/

Trip advisor link - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Goodwood_ ... gland.html

Whilst having some refreshments, you could have a wonder around the paddock and look over the cars there. Always a chance of some exotic metal with it being a slightly higher decibel allowance event. May even be really lucky and see a Spitfire taking off from the Aerodrome area? When done, we then set off to complete the road trip back to the starting point being - Rykas Cafe.

With the above in mind, 15 minutes on your timings would be nice. As you'd be arriving at Goodwood towards the end of the lunch break rush yet all the cars will still be parked up in the paddock. We can have a quick look around before the track re-opens and then get our drinks/food whilst some cars then blast around the circuit for us to watch.

Just a thought?
