Ouch Faisal. Undertrays are about £250 IIRC.

Sounds like you all had fun.

Always carry a litre bottle in the boot. These cars like to drink, even more so if you're using the higher end of the Rev range. Owners manual even says up to a litre per 1000km.

Argh sorry to hear that Faisal! At least you made it though!

I literally managed to squeeze in before they laid the last cone to close the M6

It was a great day out and will need to be done again soon! Thanks for organising it all Dave and a pleasure to meet so many petrolheads.

The whole day was good but chasing down Brian in the pouring rain at the Scotsburgring with the ESP off was probably the best drive I have ever had.

Think I learned as much about myself as I did the car.

My oil light also came on just as I got home but luckily my undertray was still in one piece, must have been a nightmare after a long day out.

Brooner- You will have to fight me for the wooden spoon/tail end Charlie position, I quite like going at my own pace ;-)

It's better but not right yet, so going back in Thursday.

Faisal, that's some tough luck with the undertray buddy. Wish you called me, as I had a multi tool in the car and might have been able to undo it or cut it off. At least you got back in one piece. That's a hell of a drive to do in one go.

Well I'm on Day 2 and just having breakfast in the Rhug farm shop and then heading for the Evo Triangle for some fine North Wales roads.

Sam that is mega shift you are putting in heading there now!

Faisal what happened with the undertray, do u know where you caught it originally?

Brian both your car and Faisals cars sounded superb.

The Scotsburgring was epic spent my whole time chasing Dave in the Jag...think I done ok in the type r!

Ridiculous price for a bit of plastic!

Regardless it was indeed great fun! Shame about the weather.

I'll add my thanks to Dave for organising, and also for using his highly confidential presentation boards as floor mats whilst trying to sort the undertray!

Sam - Kind of you to say. You were already a massive help by preventing me getting lost a few times!

That type R surprised me! No problem keeping up with the quattros, shows how good modern hot hatches are.

As a side note: First time I've really been able to test the continental sc5 tyres in the wet, and I was pleasantly surprised! I was stuck to the road much for firmly than I imagined possible in the rain! They've got good tyre test reviews but forum opinion doesn't seem so good. I've tried a part worn set of sc3's in the wet on a trackday and they were rubbish in comparison.

Will try to get a vid together next week, but I don't think footage will be great, because of the weather.

Just the noise that is lacking in the type r!between you and Brian me wanting a V8 again increased massively and it was already substantial. Was really good to see the B8s up close and personal as that was 1st proper look I have had at them.

I hadn't realised you had sport contact 5s I have the sport contact 6 which come standard in the type r and all I hear from everyone on the civic forum is how poor they are in the wet and think we can all agree that's utter nonsense!

Did you have a couple of cameras hooked up inside the car?
