Re: EVO Triangle meet
Great video DK, it's hard to lead something like this and keep it the right side of fun. I didn't sign up for the meet but still gutted that I couldn't make it. Epic part of the country for driving and well worth the 5 hours it takes me personally to get there! If there's another and circumstances allow, I'll be there hounding that F-typop...pop...pop...pop.
Anyone know where the Police were? I assume on the way into Wales rather than the triangle itself?
P.S. what's going on with the RS4's DRL lights, hope they aren't the site Sponsor EM Tuning ones!

Re: EVO Triangle meet
The old bill were on the Triangle itself.
When compared to the Road in the vid, I'm really now starting to think the Triangle is overrated !

I hadn't got a clue where we were going so was quite happy to follow the slippers.S4WON wrote:So let me get this straight...
The slippers and boy racer led all the RS's on the day? Shame on you fellas!
P.S another great Vid Dk!

I'll have a look at my camera to see what video was captured.

Me, Carl and Nick shoot off into the sun set and the rest are no where to be seen ! must be the carbon build up !
Ile have my stage 2 done by next time for a bit more of a responsive coming out of the bends lol
It didn't do too bad, but certainly not a patch on the RS4's or the Megane - the weight difference makes a huge contribution to the handling on that type of road I imagine - or maybe I'm just making excuses and need to learn to drive it properly on the twisties!
Certainly looking forward to the next one - just hope I can keep up

Only ever done it on a weekday and never really seen much about. It’s always better enjoyed at a higher speed, which just isn't really appropriate in the company of others.
I can really recommend the A44 Llangurig - Aberystwyth and also the B4518 past Llyn Clywedog. You could just drive the length of the A470 and be happy if I'm honest.

Re: EVO Triangle meet
WOW!! What a day that was, on the road 5am-9:30pm. Fantastic turnout - well done everyone! Thanks for organising. Great to meet you all in your pride and joys, some lovely motors and well looked after.
Great pictures guys, I think next time we should bring sausages to cook on the B5's BBQ!!! Great vid DK - very funny! Shame I was too late to see the other ones you posted. I did some videoing myself but didn't turn out too good, it wasn't angled enough from the side window so too much 'A post' in the way, I will know for next time!
I took the scenic route back to Surrey, going down the A470 to the Brecon Beacons and Byrnamman - AWESOME!! They have put 40mph signs along that stretch from cattle grid to cattle grid so there will probably be pigs up there as well as sheep!
I would be up for doing another trip, family life permitting of course, Brecon could be good as there are a number of roads that zig zag over the moors???
Will keep a look out and hopefully fit it in.

Just as a note, if you're using a Go Pro which supports wifi you can use their app and get a realtime view of what's being recorded as well as start, end the recording etc. Particularly useful when the camera is mounted to the exterior of the car.
Re: EVO Triangle meet
Jimmy send me a PM and I'll allow you to view the vid

Thanks, yes that works well, if you remember the password!!! I left coming really late so didin't get set up properly with testing things out so didn't realise I couldn't link it to my phone, schoolboy error!marc1 wrote:Just as a note, if you're using a Go Pro which supports wifi you can use their app and get a realtime view of what's being recorded as well as start, end the recording etc. Particularly useful when the camera is mounted to the exterior of the car.
