Where you going to be leaving from Pete? Me and Simon are on about meeting up, maybe at the Brentwood A12/M25 J28 Little Chef.

I was planning on leaving from Colchester at about 1pm and heading over via the A12 and A14.
I reckon going via the M25/M1 through Luton & Bedford on a Friday afternoon a bit risque.........

The little chef at J28 is only 40 minutes away from Colchester... do you boys fancy a different route ????

I shall 'try' and call you tomorrow.

Just a quick note to say thanks to John for organising this, it was a great day.

And nice to meet you all too.

Just is case you can't guess from the username, I was the one in the Honda S2000.

Second that, thanks John for organising the day.
The track was quite hard on the cars and the flat course had some of us guessing where the next corner was.... or was not !

I think I was the only one to spin out.. and not even in my own car, so apologies once again to Simon who allowed me to drive his S3 and a red face from me for doing a 180 across the grass :bash:

The rain stayed away but if it had arrived it would have been quite 'interesting'.

Scottys S4 sounded fecking great and lb for lb I think we agreeded there was not much between mine and his, although the S4 was always going to have the upper hand, cheers mate.

Great selection of cars, Caterhams, Elise, S4's, S3's, RS4's, S2's, Golfs, S2000 oh and that vauxhall ... etc etc
Perhaps someone could contact the Autodrome and point out that it was not a good idea to end the session without a cooling down lap - my brakes were somewhat 'smoking' after the last session - fecking marshalls.

Pity about the pub not serving food ' sorry sir we are fully booked' yeah - right !

Journey home was quite good, arrived back here about 11pm - totally shagged out.

Cheers all

Pete

A big thank you to JohnRS4, great event, the guys I brought along had a great time. Everyone went home with a big grin and a lot less rubber. Everyone was friendly and polite on and off track which always makes for a good event.

Cheers to everyone who attended and made it a good afternoon, especially to Simon for taking me for a spin (literally) in his S2000.

Rgds

Many thanks John. A really fun session and more importantly I learnt a hell of a lot about how the S4 handles. If there is any feedback for the autodrome (as mentioned by Pete) then perhaps suggesting they don't disappear until they have the helmets back might be a good idea.

Good to see everyone out using their cars rather than just polishing them :beerchug:

Cheers.

Yep, thanks again John for a top afternoon, everyone was impeccibly behaved and well mannered. Thanks lads.
Plenty learnt by yesterday,

1, 20psi in the rear drivers tyre does not help the cars handling
2, Tuned V8's sound the nads
3, 300 BHP R32's should be how VW makes them by law - what an amazing car you have Pete, std R32 suspension completely rules.
4, Std RS4 brakes and suspension fully suck. Especially brakes.
5, Johns RS4 brakes look amazing, and apparently work as well as they look.
6, Get TeleAtlas to map out the Autodrome so the SatNav can tell you which corner is coming next as you can't see feck all

See you soon chaps, good to see/meet you all :D

Cheers

Ben
