Further to "a discussion on the other site" ( but it seems no one knows the answer!
- Im going ahead & ordering an HID kit anyway. Im still unconvinced by arguments that more lumens from the front of my car will somehow make visibility worse but if it does I will be magnanimous to admit I was wrong!
I still cant see how anything could be worse than i have - my pals DRL's on his TTRS are brighter than my fogs!

Anyway, what I would like to know is this: does anyone have a close up of the fogs on a B5 RS4?
I took one out today to check it was deffo an H7 bulb as I was told - its not- its an H3 ( the one with the wee wire connected) I also had a look at a few B5 A4's around town & the fogs all look different from mine ( there were no RS4's obviously!)
The std A4's all seem to have clear glass in their fogs & you can see the reflector & bulb. In fact they look more like spots. Mine has a pattern across the glass ( as in most foglamps) & you cant see the bulb as there is a mask between the projector lens & the bulb. ( they almost look black!)
Do RS4's have different fogs from OEM or have mine been changed?
has anyone got a pic they could post here for me? or even just describe them ?

I fitted HIDs to my motorbike. When I go for mainbeam and there's either rain or a big road sign then visibility is worse than dipped as the light hits the rain/sign and reflects straight back in my eyes. Dipped is fine as it points down.

I don't think HIDs as fogs wouldn't be very effective but I've no experience so give it a go

I'm pretty sure they are H3. I changed mine for LED. Have you considered going that route?

just get some 100w blue halogens , mine are great, in a B7 though but shouldnt be any different

What LEDs were you able to source? Just did my whole house in them. Great stuff.
