Quick post to let you know about U-Spanner

A new facility for petrol heads and alike a friend of mine (Grant) has set up in Southend on sea.

"U-Spanner is a fully-equipped self-service garage workshop for hire to the DIY car enthusiast and mobile automotive professional (and bikers too, of course!). The workshop is equipped with a full-height hydraulic lift, air compressor and a wide range of tools available included in the hire. Full internet access is provided onsite (desktop PC and WiFi available)."

So I've done a full Cam belt change on my B5 RS4 and have done a full brake service on the family wagon (8E A4) using this facility. I live in Surrey but as the facility is well equipped and grant has relationships with the local motor factors - I had no issue driving over and knowing that I could complete the work..

In addition to the tools listed on the site
* VAG-COM is available should you need.
* I'll be loaning my Cam lock bar, Crank lock pin, sprocket pullers and fan pulley tool to the Garage as an when needed.

So if you want to use the facility get in touch with Grant and let him know whats needed.
