Rear 4port Caliper from Porsche

Post by pcfnet » Thu May 20, 2010 2:23 pm

I got a front 6port Caliper from porsche on my B5, so far so good, but my mate had offered me the set of 4port also from porsche for my back. He told me if I want to go with it I need to install the handbrake calibrake serpeately, perhaps need to source some from TT which makes it good looking.

expect the total cost to be ~1.2kUSD for the lot including installation, do you guys think its worth it?

Probably worth it. Just make sure you calculate so the brake proportion is the same.
Sucks to do theese things and then lock up the rear first for instance.
Dont know what adjustable brake valve will do with the abs system either. Although the brakes should be mismatched atm seeing as
you have installed better things at the front.

I have B7 8 pots up front and B5 brakes on the back. no issue with brake bias despite the seemingly massive difference in piston ratio.
seems a lot for some rears, but at least they will match!
