Just took delivery of my new Scorpion cat back system and I'm planning on fitting at my mate garage on monday, does anyone have any tips??? Also going to gut the pre cats, any advice on that also.
Regards
Andy

Re: Fitting New Exhaust
Andy pls give a report of how that little lot sounds once fitted. Loud/Quiet/boominess at certain revs. Would be interesting to find a cheaper alternative to Milltek.AndyC1982 wrote:Hi Guys,

AFAIK there are two preferred options for gutting the pre-cats:
1) Cutting them in two at the top weld, removing the cats in one go, then re-welding: http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ight=auger
2) Get a massive auger drill bit and destroy the cat into smallish bits and remove: http://www.rs246.com/index.php?name=PNp ... ight=auger

Hope the Scorpion fits ok. From experience with Scorpion exhausts on Fords, customer service is non existent. They are only interested in selling stuff.
I would not entertain buying a Scorpion again. My mechanic who used to install Scorpions quickly dumped them in favour of Mongoose due to warranty migraines.
Rick.

how big are the dents ? if are quite big and deep it will act as a resticion at high rpm (post a pic with something along side for size ref)
