Over sensitive ESP!

Hi Guys,
New here, first post.
I seem to have over sensitive esp! Under hard acceleration in a straight line in dry conditions I still can get the ESP light to flash and of course lose power.
With the ESP switched off under the same conditions the car accelerates perfectly, now wheel spin of sketchyness.
Im assuming its possibly a sensor, but correct me if im wrong the ESP uses the ABS sensors and I dont seem to have any problems under hard braking.
I look forward to any ideas.
Cheers

Hi taclaa
I had the same problem when I bought my rs. It turned out to be the tyres on the front were slightly lower than the rears which caused an unbalance. I changed all 4 and problem gone. I am sure you get get away with changing just the front two but be wary of the tread on the rear ones. If there is only a couple of mil left IO would change all 4.

Thanks for the input guys, since posting i found a few posts of the same and the outcome seems to be tyres first.
Thinking back when i bought it a year ago there was no problem with this, then i changed the front tyres and maybe it was around then the problem started.
i have put another pair on again so fairly new tyres all round but i was a cheap skate and got some midrange cheapies on it as i was going to sell it.
I have decided to keep it now and spend some money on it, remap, exhaust ect but first i think i will pop a full set of Michelin PS2's on!
Any of you guys experiencing a really faint hum from the rear end, diff poss?
while im asking questions, I need front pads, any recommendations?
cheers again guys
