i'll drop 911tt a pm and ask if it was his car at some stage, as for spec its not got much details about the mods but seems to be highly spec'd and in good condition. For the mileage, spec and condition is it worth the money they are asking for it? its been up for sale a few months back with less mileage 58k i think and then the other week it was re advertised by the same company, is this anything to be concerned by?

tbh, both are good examples, if you buy the silver you have spare change in your pocket to upgrade, modify further or to repair any faults.

the red is nice, but I think overly priced...IIRC Easto on here had same colour with 70k miles, and mods running near 470hp and he sold up for 15.5kish

i wish i had saw his motor, sounds exactly what im looking for and the kind of money im able to spend. What sort of money will i have to spend to get a good example? What sort of money should the red one be going for?

The red one is priced right imo esp from a Dealer and also the fact it's an 02 plate with well below average miles on it. Mint condition too.

No offence contigo, but we all know dealers are there to make money... bargains can be had from them at times, but other times they price them well over which is why they have them advertised for a while and sometimes have them for months, YES i understand its a buyers market and people will pay for what a car is worth, but never ever would i buy from a trader purely because they wont negotiate as much as a private seller, also the fact that they buy these cars cheaper or take them in on a cheaper p/x and then sell them for more.

Also you say the one from dealer is priced right? - how so if a similar spec sold for 15kish??? with a spare set of B7 wheels...

Hektor. - my advice (which some may disagree) - buy privatley and buy from an enthusiast who has looked after the car.
there are some crap examples out there with problems that wont be so obvious to the eye but once on a health check could become expensive.

what colour are you after?. is it only misano red your after??

that avus one on PH that your considering with 446hp was for sale last yr sometime - i know as i was also interested init, i still have a copy of the dyno slip that the owner sent me, if your intereted pm your email add and ill send you the graph.

do you want to buy one to modify or would you rahter buy one moded up?? (you will save a packet)

well my car is now on 70k, am i an enthusiast (i don't know), however, i wouldn't be selling mine for 15k-ish.......don't judge these cars on price but condition. asthetically it's not the best (a re-spray in the future will sort this) but mechanically it's sound and this should be top of anybody's list when inspecting a car.

the current economic climate has created a market place with no measurable barometer however, saying that NJ has sold all of his sub 50k cars for over £20k! give it time and prices will rise again and even well maintained high mileage cars will make good money.

I have checked my database and I suspect that red one was on Pistonheads in Feb 09
It's reg was F*02 *** and it had been lowered and had tints and short shift as in the advert - I wondered if it had been a pace car at Donington Park as the reg was right for the area and it would explain the late reg (unregistered while used on track) BUT THIS IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY BEHALF.
It had a scuff on the nearside rear wheel arch which put me off a bit plus it was too low (my first RS4 used to always ground its Milltek even on stock springs) but it seemed cheap at around £17k I seem to recall - he also advertised it on www.audisrs.com.
Here's some of my email from the owner;

"I bought it from DAP specialist cars in Chesire 16/11/07 for £24,995 8-|
It has 41k on the clock. Not 100% sure on suspension as the garage said was all done @ MTM (susp, shortshift and possible remap), however the prev. owner didnt have paperwork.

Last 4 digits are 5777, let me know what you find on that, Car was 1st registered 18/06/02 !

The windows are standard tints, but yes, at back its def. darker than clear :)"

Like anything, these cars are worth what someone is willing to spend. Nick J has sold hundred of examples like this and at a similar price.

Someone will be looking for a red motor and this will fit the bill, nice spec (TV and phone) and in excellent condition.

Let's see in a couple of weeks if it's overpriced and well off the mark.

someone selling a private car at 15k on a forum is very different to a trader selling one in Exchange and Mart/AT.
