Can someone point me to a guide to changing the fuel filter on the B5 RS4 as it looks to me like you need to drop the subframe and tank??!!??!!??

The bolt is spinning in the plastic bracket and I don't really want to cut it and cable tie the new one on

Cheers,
Rob

all you need to do is have the fuel tank as empty as you can get it, then release the holding straps then remove the fuel filter. no need to drop the sub frame. I've watched Grizz and Lee at Unit 20 do ours and it took about half an hour to do.

contact Grizz if your not sure.

(google Unit 20) he is in Chester

Ahh that sounds ok, with a quick look it seemed really unnecessarily difficult so I knew there would be a simpler way.

It's a pita. Get the professionals to do it (MRC, Grizz etc...)

A few cars have the nut spinning.

Get a helping hand, and prise the bracket slightly with a flat blade screwdriver, and then with the second pair of hands, open as usual. You should be able to loosen it, and replace the filter as per normal.

As said just drop the tank slightly, and make sure you use new washers.
