Rs4 won`t start after turbo replacement

Hi. This is my first post here and i need some help.
I have a 2001 rs4 with digi tec remap and a month ago my left turbo decided to give up
I have now changed both turbos and mounted the engine back into the car.
Everything is connected but the car won`t start.
Also i can`t connect to the ecu with vag com, im just getting "no response from controller"
Has anyone had this problem? Will check fuses tomorrow. Does it need coding?

Did you change the turbos yourself? Lots of wiring parts disconnected as its engine out, maybe ECU or power lines not connected. Turbos do not need coding.

i changed them myself yes. Everything is connected the way it should be. The reason i wondered about coding is that the ecu and car has been without power for about 2months now. So maybe the immobiliser is causing the problem.

Did you take the relay out for the fuel pump to prime the turbos with oil? Check that the battery is ok. The immobiliser sign should go out when you turn the ignition on after about 3 secs or so. as above check wiring. Could the ecu have been damaged?

ECU won't lose the coding, even if it's disconnected for more than 2months!
I would definitely check all your fuses first. Probably something along those lines, when you removed/re-installed all your wiring.

yes i did that. The engine turns over but does not start. The immobiliser sign does go out after 3 sec. Dont think the ecu has been damaged.

Check fuse 12 - diagnostic port 10amp.

check all your earth straps,fuses and ignition relay as well as the obvious things like fuel and spark

Getting no communication with the ecu. Do you get communication with other modules?

Yes i can connect to the other ones. But not Engine

either dead ecu or issue getting power to ecu.

B7 rs4 brakes - very nice. Good luck getting to the bottom of this and keep the forum posted.
