Recently bought my first RS4 and in the process of getting it spot on. Its got 83k on it and had the cambelt service at 79k. I've had an interval service done at 82k when i bought the car.

So far i've replaced the DV's with 710N's and replaced the MAF. I'll do the N75 and afterrun mod in the next couple of weeks too. What else should i be doing? Diff oil? N249? I'm new to RS and quattro (torsen) so still finding my feet and want to make sure i'm covering everything as i'm sure there will be stuff that gets missed by dealers but common knowledge to everyone one on here.

Have you VAG COM'd your car?
You really need to do this for peace of mind - I had a fault with a lambda sensor which didn't put the Check Engine light on but I replaced it anyway as it kept on coming back.
Also check to see if the existing coolant temp sensor is black or green - if it's black it's original and is probably faulty.

Was the thermostat done at the cambelt change as this caught me out recently.

Car should have been VAG COM'd at Awesome when it was serviced but they missed the split DV's so i'll get it checked again just in case. I'll definately look at the coolant sensor. Where is it located? Not sure about the thermostate as the cambelt service was done by the previous owner.

Pre-Cats, all in good time. Want to make sure the car is spot on before the essential trip to MRC.

Pressure test for small leaks is a must too! Also consider the turbo after-run pump mod.

Pressure test is good idea as Nige says.
I bet Awesome don't see many 2.7T cars so I can see why they missed the DVs, they wont cause a fault in VAG COM though I think if you know you way around VAG COM you can monitor boost levels and see if the DVs are shot that way- or just replace them if they aren't 710Ns as chances are they are shot.
I'd get your wheels checked for trueness too, easiest way is a wheel balancing machine, it really is easy to damage them.

Anyone know of a company in Yorkshire that can pressure test it for me? Maybe right about Awesome as they didn't manage to fix the leaking cam cover it was booked in for either so probably not clued up on pressure testing 2.7T's. Think the wheels are actually new as there mint inside and out.

Then does the diff/gearbox require maintaince as my S3 need a Haldex service at 60K. Guess the RS4 would also require something similar.

I'm in Pudsey, about 4min drive from Bramley. Think a mini meet would be ace. I'll see if my mate Tim wants to bring his RS4 B5 over too. Interested in a pressure test too? Flashy is manchester way but if we chip in for his traveling costs maybe we could twist his arm into have a look at a couple, possibly three cars?

yea that sounds like a great idea.

no haldex coupling on an rs4,just change the rear axle oil and gearbox oil,no interval is specified by audi so it wil never have been done unless is had repairs to those items.

I'd be up for a mini meet in Leeds - missus wants to see some friends over there anyway!
