Just a information post.My car developed a miss fire under wot,if you wound the power on slow it was fine but as soon as i nailed it the missfire became really bad.Trip to mrc and doug was his usual methodical self,pressure check ok,power amplifiers ok,by the way vag com showed no faults,spark plugs looked ok but gaps were quite big.New plugs=NEW CAR i cant believe what a difference a new set has made,the car feels smoother faster and all together better cheers doug.

I suspect my stage 2 car is on standard plugs and while it runs well it would make sense to upgrade;
Thanks Harper-D, found them on ETKA with that info
VW part number is;
101000016AA
Code is
F5DPOR

RRP is approx £8+ VAT

Let's hope they don't send 5 if they are RS2 :)

Ordered the often overlooked pollen filter too if anyone is interested in one;
8A0 419 439A £8.99 + VAT

I guess these are not really suitable for a totally stock car....?

Overlooked pollen filter......I replaced mine as soon as I bought the car, and you should have seen the condition of it within 6 months! I had to buy another one again!

I have still got 5 brand new RS2 plugs, and was going to get 6 new RS4 plugs. So can I just get 1 RS2 plug and use them instead?

No shelflife for plugs. As good as new if never used!-?
