I am thinking of upgrading clutch for my RS4 for 600+ power level.
As I can't find any good deal in Europe, I need to know if one can fit US S4 clutch kits in our RS4 cars? FW stays stock RS4.
I am interested in this one that seems a popular upgrade in US (Clutch Masters Stage 4 aka FX400):

Also where is the difference between the 99-00 and '01-'02 S4 clutch kits? Which one should I buy?

RE: RS4 clutch upgrade?
Yes the RS4 and S4 are the same fitting.
Have a good read on the US forums, there are a few options, see what you can find out about the auto adjusting features of the OEM pressure plate, if you go with some of the aftermarket ones you will loose this.
Some chaps seem to ahe used the RS4 pressure plate with ceramic friction plates I think?

Really? And how much can the standard pressure plate take with ceramic clutch discs?tdiquattro wrote:Yes the RS4 and S4 are the same fitting.

Can't remeber wher I saw the notes on it, but here is one.. From Autospeed,
"The AutoSpeed Stage 4 Clutch kit is made for putting the power down to the ground. The key to our clutch is the Metallic Lined Full Faced Marcel Disk, the full face allows the factory RS4 Pressure Plate to be used without the need to disable the Self Adjusting Clutch (SAC) unit. What this means is you still have a factory pedal feel with the friction needed to hold whatever you can throw at it."

This looks good if you go with the stronger pressure plate..
Sachs a leader in OE manufacturing, offers this aftermarket slave cylinder replacement for the 01E transmission. This design reduces your pedal effort when installing a performance clutch such as the RS4 or higher rated pressure plates. A perfect addition to your daily driver.
