Alternative option for steering wheel

Post by Virdee Autos » Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:58 pm

I have had this recently done to my steering wheel.

Re-leathered, in punched leather like the original, but as can be seen the rim has been re-profiled/thickened, and obviously the carbon additions.

Compliments the RS4 interior perfectly IMHO. More importantly I was going to go for the Audi Alcantara option, but this doesn't wear well at all! With the thicker rim on this, and the carbon additions, its the best of both worlds.

Not available in piano finish unfortunately.

I know someone whose Alcantara wheel went bubbly within 2 months! Looks awesome when new, and obviously the feel, but not once used!

Cost is around £350 (exchange basis). Not cheap, but then you pay for quality. And is anything with the RS4 cheap!

Yeah - very nice work dude ... can the whole thing be done in punched leather (including the wide-grip rim mod)?

Yep if you want it without the carbon, it should be possible. Probably cheaper too

You can choose whether you want plain leather or punched or even mixed. And you can also choose the stitching colour.
