Power Upgrades

Hi,
Not that my RS4 isn't fast enough but I am thinking of having a power upgrade. I have been recommended 'Superchips' which will take the BHP from 380 to 414.
Is this the best option / company to use or is there any others that I should consider...?
Thanks
Imax

Hi Imax, welcome to 246
Looks like I'm the fist to suggest taking a look at MRC:

Many forum members swear by them, including me. Of course, I have no experience of other tuners, so cannot comment on them.

As above, MRC have done all the work in my S4 and I wouldn't trust it with anyone else. Their remaps are safer than most others as they run low boost. I believe their RS4 map is to around 420bhp.

MRC all the way for me

As per the above: I'd thoroughly recommend MRC - firstly they'll give your car a 'health check' [pressure test the turbo loop, and, if any leaks are found will replace your DVs and/or any failed hoses, VAG-COM scan for DTCs and MAF readings - they'll replace MAF if dead or failing etc etc] - the health check is essential prior to mapping a car [doubt if Superchips will do any of this] - then they will custom map YOUR car in real-time [i.e. the map will be specific to your motor, not a generic PnP map for an RS4 - and will be honed on the fly to elicit the optimum possible performance from it] - they may even give you a FATS figure...
Just ensure that you've got a tank of V-Power [or equivalent] prior to the mapping process - this will yield the best possible result.
[you may even want to get your pre-cats 'gutted' while you're there before the mapping process commences]

my local specialist also recomended the superchips map saying his rs4 with superchip and millteck is much faster than his farthers rs 4 with mtm +millteck. but due to the popularty of mrc on here with posts saying they get the numbers "without" running craizy amounts of boost , i decided to go the mrc route ! my car is with doug as we speek.carnt wait to get her back .. i will report what i think in a day or 2

I would stay away from superchip if i was you .....Had a superchip on mine and it was

Later went for an MRC remap the difference was huge !!
Superchip are really good for turbo-diesel engines but on the 2.7 audi it isn't good and not safe as well.

Like many others I am running an MTM chip which has been very reliable and consistent during my 5k miles.
It may cost more than others but "MTM are to Audi what AMG is to Merc and Alpina to BMW" so it's as close to a genuine Audi remap as there is.
Kim Collins has been around for years and unlike other popular tuners he has a rolling road to prove his work;

Neckarsulm, are you friends with Kim or on his payroll? you always seem to post the same things, which aren't even true....

Clearly showing how some people are affected by brand power

Come on now Mihnea, there are a lot of us on this forum who support you and your company, and I'd like to think that the general censous of opinion is
not that we are on your payroll (although I wouldn't mind

).
