I see on the dahl racing website that they offer up to 625hp upgrade but the interesting thing, especially for ANdiroo, is that they quote new pistons, larger injectors (which we already knew) but new water pump and oil cooler as well as cylinder block reinforcement

No mention of IC's so i guess they are trying to reduce cooling by more oil cooling and increased water flow

An interesting concept

try the link and look for RS4

I have heard of someone recently planning a 510bhp project on an S4. Can't imagine what it's like.

New turbo-back stainless steel exhaust with race cats, new air filter, new exhaust manifold, larger turbos, new piston rods/pistons, camshafts, crankshaft, fuel injectors, fuel pump, fly wheel and clutch, port job, new pipes and hoses, larger fuel injectors, oil cooler, water pump, reinforcements of cylinder block.

= 625bhp = £42,500 - must have missed something of the parts list - anyhow you could get the same power for 50% of that, with smaller hybrid turbos and virtually no lag (inc flywheel clutch etc). Taking that the 1600rpm max torque is a misprint (which it is) its probably similar to the previous option and around 5500rpm = lag heaven

No mention of bigger intercoolers like you say Bushy, or even charge cooling (water injection), and unfortunately the water pump mods wont cool the charge in any effective way, just protect the block - difficult to see how they control this

Has any one seen and understood the dyno plots on the previous option? Never seen one like that before

That's not to say it dont all work ( it should be able to go to the moon and fecking back for £42k ), it's just that applying a few more techniques could maybe let it perform a little better

£42k

Andiroo ....................£42k

Hmmmm. £42k (taking the car to £90k) is a ton of money of course for what is essentially just an upgrade, and a lot less wonga will get you into vehicles with a superior power to weight ratio.

But there is nothing on the market road car wise with any degree of that kind of refinement and power for anything like as little money...... therefore..... its cheap! Do we get a warranty with that?
