i've had this twice then realised i was pushing the button in the drivers door as i got out. i was trying to be careful not to knock the door on the wall, obviously concentrating on the wrong thing

Been posted before and quite common on our cars - the bulkhead plugs get blocked and water finds it way into the pass footwell - I think this is where the central locking ECU is located.

might be different om RS4's but i thought the central locking controller also doubles as the alarm controller and sits in the O/S well in the boot. that might be the place to check for water

Was common a few years ago with cars with sunroofs, the drain from left rear corner was folded out of way when some work was done in boot on mine, CD player and window conroller were replaced a few months later, first sign was cd skipping, then it started to drop all four windows overnight. Get it checked....

Well i have a 2002 S8 and i came out one morning to find all 4 windows had dropped. So this problem isn't just confined to RS4's.

All four windows dropped on mine today, fortunately the car was parked in a secure car park at work. Anyone got any difinitives on this one?

I notice sometimes the windows don't quite shut right after the battery has gone flat but soon fixes itself once they've been wound down and up. Also notice the car unlocks it self before the battery goes fully flat as well.

Most mysterious is the sunroof which occasionally will shut itself after its been opened while driving.

I feel much better to know that others also have seen all of their windows to open totally, however since i cannot be sure if i locked the car, if locked it would get unlocked also? Or could it happen if unlocked? To get to the point, could it be a theft attempt? I'm on trying to revaluate the value of the car with the insurance company and since right now it is not insured many things pass through my mind. It is too strange a coincidence. Thanks.
