These cars attract nutters

Hi all

I'm new to this RS stuff, but I've noticed over the last few weeks that mentalists seem to be attracted to me when I'm in the RS4. Is this a common problem? If it's not some daft old bat in a micra trying to merge into my front wing in standing traffic, then it's Johnny No-Mark in his Leon Cupra trying to put his front bumper on my backseat at 60 on an A road...

Or am I just being paranoid because I've now got the best car on the road

PS going to work today I had a bloke in an N-reg A4 saloon with RS4 badges on :!: tucked up my ar*e while on his mobile. FFS leave me alone!!!

Surprised your attracting the nutters. The B5 RS4 is pretty stealth and would go unnoticed by all but the biggest petrolhead.

If your not all about status and more about go then have the confidence to de-badge. This would lose all attention without question - us guys on here would spot you but thats about it.

Or do what i do - pedal the metal and watch them disappear in the rear-view.

Hethers, what colour is yours?
I'd guess Misano over Goodwood

Mine is Goodwood actually. Maybe it is the stealth that causes it - they don't even realise what they're dealing with until I'm 200 yds away with nothing but dust to suggest I was there in the first place..

Not Bradford, this was around Longbridge in Birmingham

Dear Paranoid of somewhere,

Really odd that you are getting that much attention. I've a Misano Red RS4 and seldom attract any attention at all - as said above, it's normally only the serious petrolhead that knows what these cars are.

It's a well known fact that the daft old bats in their Micra's are the worst drivers on the road - they think their cars are smaller than a postage stamp and can get in any gap on the road. You are probably paying a little more attention to what is going on around you (which is no bad thing) and this may be the cause of your "paranoia".

Dr Paul.

Yeah - In over 3 years I can't think of a single incident with respect to a race etc. I never get any attention :(

Now road rage as a result of other muppets on the road is a different matter!

Agree with others - for me the RS4 only ever attracted the "right" kind of attention i.e. petrolheads who knew what it was coming over for a quick chat.

Cheers, Richard.

Same as, i cant say that i ever get challenged, to most its just an audi estate,
I have noticed how the only people to look at the car are ever really audi drivers altho i have notived TT drivers dont like to be passed on a motorway without trying to cause a multi car pile up  ,

I went to a country park last week end with the wife and my son and parked next to a ford mucas ST in orange, the car park was rammed and i had to wait for some one to leave before i could get in the space to park by the time i had got out of the car to get my son out of the child seat i noticed that every person who passed looked at the orange mucas, my car never got a second glance.

I have taken the badge off the back, anonymity...............
