a few who moved on, had pitched battles with the dealers and Customer Service
And hence why

Diesel, there should be the soft wheels letter in your handbook/service schedule. If it is lost ask Audi for a personalised copy with your reg on it and then "no more problems" (I cannot believe their are still dealers who have not heard of "bendy" wheels)
You should also have the video explaining everything

interesting articles those Phil - thanks for posting.
so is the wheel warranty for the life of the car or ten years then? Surely the letter from Audi indicates life! this issue doesn't seem to go away.
Both Whites Audi in Camberley and Guildford Audi looked at my wheels over last couple of weeks and confirmed that slight scuffs like on my wheels will be replaced no probs as long as the scuff hasn't contributed to the deformation. Both dealers also stated that Audi UK have recently gotten strict on the enforcement.
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

It is not surprising that they are now getting stricter, with most people now having had at least 20 wheels over the 4 years (I am being very conservative on the numbers) Most regulars on here also having 8-12 spare wheels in their garages "just in case" we are looking at best part of 10,000 wheels. Even if they do buy in "bulk" it is still a large expense they had not expected.
By the way I do not feel sorry for them

A very relevant thread. Changing state to "sticky".

Everytime I read the letter from Kevin Rose I still just laugh.... I still stand by the viewas I did in 2002, that this was drempt up in one of their Bavarian nights at a Sloss, after
many litres of rough Lager had been consumed...

does this mean the harder wheels fitted to some RS4s might cause damage to the suspension/axle etc?!

Before selling my car, I had the wheels (soft) checked and 3 were bent. So the Audi dealer changed all 4 for spanking new soft ones. I did have some slight kerbing as well on one.
Didn't have to show any letter (or even had one in the servcie book), they just checked the reg and that was it. I made sure they still gave me the soft wheels though.
Just shows that some dealers have more experience in dealing with the RS.
No sig, no RS4 anymore

THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT CHAPS!!!
Kenny what you say is spot on mate; glad you werent told that you had been 'offroading' in 'our' car by the Cambridge dealers when you had the wheels 'corrected' just before I got it. Christ! I even made them last 6 months!!!!
Its unbelievable - I AVOID multi storey car parks as the car can ground in them and then get accuised of 'off-roading' in it. FFS...
More on Tuesday...

Yeah, does anyone know if this is an issue? I am contemplating going for a set of the harder wheels as mine is in again on Thursday to have vibrating wheels inspected!!

Sweet, cheers for that! So I take it you haven't had any vibrations or buckling since switching to the hard wheels then?
