Hi, my B5 RS4 has gone in for it's usual service and now the engine is out on a workbench...

Basically the top end looks unhappy (worn cams , bent valves) and also the turbos need replacing. The bottom end is an unknown.

Rather than waste any more time and money (as part pricing is already hitting big numbers) I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that sells refurb'd whole engines (forward of the transmission) or a 2nd hand \ breaking vehicle.

I've emailed one thread (http://audisrs.com/about66643.html ) but wanted to see what other options I had.

Would very much recommend you speak to Jimbo first. He is also on SRS but does post here too.

Have had a reply from Jimbo but nothing for a while (am assuming he's a busy man)

In the meantime I now have a better idea from the mechanic of what is needed (it went from possibly cheaper to get a whole engine to this list). Doesn't seem as bad now.

Anyone able to help source these parts? Or the best place to ask?
